About Me

Hello my name is Penny. I am a qualified NNEB Nursery Nurse and have been working as an Ofsted registered child minder for 20 years.
I work closely with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). I have plenty of experience working with children from new born up to the age of 8 years old.

I work together with my daughter Kim at Playdays Childcare from her home in Brickhill, Bedford. She lives in a large 4 bedroom house with a newly built, beautifully equipped, special playroom, used soley for childminding activities. There is also a large fully enclosed garden.
We provide a wide range of planned activities for the children from arts and crafts and messy play, to muddy puddle jumping and weekly outings to soft play.
We also go on seasonal visits to the Zoo, visit Father Christmas and to local parks and farms.
We also do drop offs and pick ups from Scott Primary.

As part of our job role we work closely with the children's parents, sharing information on a regular basis about what their child has been doing each day and sending pictures of the activities they have participated in. Each child has their own individual Learning and Development Portfolio complete with examples of their work, photographs, observations, full developmental assessments and forward planning targets to help promote your childs learning and development, encouraging them to acheive to their full potential. This portfolio is yours to keep when your child leaves our care to move on to school.

All the children in our care enjoy the happy, loving, stimulating, clean and safe environment we provide.

We are both paediatric first aid qualified and have a full clean UK driving licences.

We are both confident, fun and bubbly people who are loving and caring. We love working with children and babies and think of our job as an extended family.
