Hi
I am an Ofsted Network registered Childminder. I offer the 15/30 hours pre school funded hours for 2, 3 & 4 year olds, as I am an EYE provider. I have three boys aged 24, 20 & 12.
I have been childminding for 20 years & was previously a financial customer advisor, a gymnastics coach & publican!!!
I am very flexible with my working hours & start at 6am, I am also registered for over night care & I am a community childminder & Space carer.
Recieved 'Outstanding' from Ofsted in April 2015 & ‘Good’ with an assistant in 2019.
My Experience
I started childminding 20 years ago & have looked after over 100 children ranging from 1 month old to 12 years old. I previously worked with children as a gym coach since the age of 16 up until a few years ago.
I have an assistant that has worked and trained with me for the last three years, we have a great working relationship and she offers great consistency along with fantastic flexibility as she is insured as a nanny and babysits also, enabling us to offer an extended childcare package to parents. I have looked after children with medical condions, specific dietry requirements & have had training with specific medical conditions.I had my house modified to create more opportunities for play, learning & fun & to improve continuity of play from indoor to outdoor. I have different play areas available including book corner, home corner, role play area, dressing up rail. I provide a wide range of opportunities in free play & offer a great road safety awareness programme that was praised & acknowledged in my ofsted report. I provide a lot of physical activities & a great knowledge & understanding of the world around us through outdoor experiences. I did a business degree after my A levels & have studied several languages including English, Irish, French & German, this has been very helpful as I have previously minded children who did not have english as their first language

My Availability
I am available from very early in the morning ie 6am & I usually finish between 5pm-6pm. I am also registered for over night care.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
Available upon requst. Meals & all trips & outings are inclusive in fees when a child attends for a full day.
Funded 15 & 30 hours available to children on 2,3 & 4 year funding

My daughter started with Elaine last September (2021) as she started school and both my husband and I work. Holly met Elaine and straight away they got on like a house on fire. I was worried that she might not settle, but instead of having a child who didn’t want to go to school in the mornings I had a child who absolutely loved visiting Elaine and her family.
The environment is stimulating for all age groups and children are encouraged to grow and explore, through play, homework, reading and also trying a variety of healthy foods. Never would I have thought Holly would eat stir fry, but she absolutely loves it and I put this down to the friendly, safe and family orientated environment that made it safe to try these new things.
Elaine is more than I could have wished for in any childminder and she definitely helped Holly to develop greater resilience and independence.

Elaine looked after my little one for approx 8 years from the age of 6 months four days a week. Elaine was incredible. She understood my child needs and wants and always went the extra mile. Was always in hand to offer guidance and tips to me as a full time working mum. Elaine treats all the children with the utmost respect and love. She’s kind and nurturing and became like a second mum to my little one. Meals are varied and healthy and often I was told the best food ever! Communication is incredible. Daily notes provided and always in hand for a chat or telephone call. Elaine’s setting is wonderful, a child’s dream with rotation of toys and exciting themes. The setting oozes positive energy. Cannot recommend Elaine enough!
