About Me
Hi, I’m Fiona. I am a fully qualified child care practitioner and I have worked in the childcare and education sector since 2008, I have vast experience working with all ages from newborn up to end of primary age.
I had my own baby in 2018 and left my full time nanny role, I have taken time out to look after my son, who is now six. I have had short term part time roles to fit in around my son. I can send a copy of my CV and references upon request.
I thoroughly enjoy working with children as I feel it is such a rewarding profession. I love the outdoors and have worked on a farm location as a sole charge nanny. I have a cockapoo so I’m happy to be around animals.
I am happy to work outside of normal working hours with notice, in cases of emergencies, school holidays, I have gone on week long holidays with my previous families in the past and worked 48 hours overnight stays at their home etc.

My Experience
I have gained over 16 years experience working with children across a vast age range from newborn to 11 years. I have also had my own son who is a credit to me and is advanced for his age.
I studied Early Years and Education at University and I’ve worked in a variety of settings including pre-school for many years, I have been a forest school leader, and I have much experience as a full time sole charge nanny, part time sole charge and most recently part time mothers help. I have experience sole charge with 2 children under 1 year.
My Qualifications
Foundation Degree In Early Years Sector - During my two years studying part time at Teesside University I have explored subjects in great depth including: safeguarding children, attachment theories, and enhancing children’s learning.
I have extensive knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) and implement it on a daily basis, promoting children's development and enhance their learning through children's interests.
I have various extra qualifications and certificates in baby lead weaning, forest school, to name a few.
Previous paediatric first aid but would enrol in a refresher course when required
Current DBS check up to date
Full clean drivers licence
My Availability
I am looking for Part Time Employment Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Extra hours can be arranged on top of regular hours.
To fit in around my 6 year old son who stays at his dad’s overnight once a week and every other weekend.
I am currently unavailable Thursdays but this could be flexible for the perfect role.
I am not looking for a before and after school split shift position. My expertise is Early Years: newborns, babies, Toddlers and preschool ages.

My Fees
- Nannying from £17.00 per hour (gross)
- Babysitting from £17.00 per hour
My fee's are dependant on the different factors of the job role and responsibilities and will reflect my many years of experience as a sole charge nanny. The new minimum wage has increased so I have increased my fee’s accordingly.
