About Me
My name is Lorraine I have been a childminder for just over sevenyears and I live in Carlton with my Husband. I have two grown sons and twin grandchildren who are 10
Whilst in my care you can expect your child to be stimulated with a range of indoor and outdoor activities which include but are not restricted to the following:
- Daily excursions to playgroups where available during term time.
- Trips to the Park.
- Trips to the various softplay centres that Nottingham has to offer.
- Outings to farms or country parks.
- Indoor activities can include toys, games, books, puzzles, arts and crafts and messy play.
- A range of outdoor toys in my enclosed back garden.
I have a cat and a rabbit which have full run of my garden. The children in my care are taught to care and how to interact with them, which teaches responsibility and respect for them in return. This has been very rewarding for the children in the past.
I consider myself lively, bubbly and outgoing in addition to trustworthy and honest. I am flexible and open when taking care of your child, considering both the child and the family involved.
I offer a warm, caring and loving environment in a home based setting, offering flexibility and piece of mind to parents.

My Experience
In my time as a childminder I have gained experience of caring for children from newborn upwards, this is from both children in my care and my twin grandchildren.
I can help parents with transition stages for their child such as weaning, potty training, going from bottle to beaker and coming off the dummy.
My Qualifications
- I am registered with OFSTED.
- I am CRB checked.
- Fully first aid trained.
- Public liability insurance.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday between 7am and 6pm (times negotiable).
I work 52 weeks a year including bank holidays if necessary.

- Childminding from £3.50 per hour
£3.50 to £5.00 an hour depending on requirements

My son started his full time childcare with Lorraine coming up to a year ago now when he was 15 months old, and right from the start I knew it was the right environment for him.
He took only a few days to settle into her care and before long he didn't even notice when I left him there. When I drop him off in the mornings he has nothing but smiles and cuddles for her.
This, I firmly believe is down to the relaxed atmosphere and her caring attitude towards the children in her care. I have no worries about my son whilst he is in her care and I can see how his development has flourished whilst he has been with her.
The children in her care are always kept busy with playgroups and afternoons/days out so there is never a dull day for him.
She has always been flexible, reliable and understanding and I would not hesitate to recommend her service to anyone.

Lorraine has been the childminder for my 2 sons for coming up to a year now and I couldn't ask for anyone better. She's reliable, flexible, helpful, approachable and has brought my children's development on no end.
My children love Lorraine and I have no worries whatsoever when they are with her. I would highly recommend to anybody! Thank you Lorraine!
