My Summary
About Me
Hello, my name is Laura. I am a highly dependable, positive, and friendly Postnatal Maternity Nurse/Nanny with over 15 years of experience caring for babies and children from birth to 12 years of age. I have worked in nursery settings for 4 years and as a sole charge nanny for 11 years. My professional qualifications include OCN Level 4 Postnatal Maternity Nurse Award and an NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development. I have an enhanced DBS on a yearly update service and current Paediatric First Aid.
I have a genuine passion for working with children and a dedication to provide loving care whilst ensuring that each child's needs are thoroughly met. I am committed to my career and I would describe being a nanny as the most rewarding position a person can have. As a nanny there is a great opportunity to expand on each child's interests by making every day a new adventure that we can explore together. This may be a walk in the park to find fairies, arranging play dates, going to classes, building a fortress in the garden or quiet time reading together. I believe that children thrive when they feel loved, happy, and secure and this is my core focus, with lots of fun and laughter thrown in too.
I am currently looking for a part-time position over Monday-Friday where I can bring along my son (born June 23). I would also consider a full-time position.
My Experience
I am a childcare professional with over 15 years experience of caring for newborns, infants, toddlers and school age children. Qualifications and experience together have given me a broad understanding of developmental milestones and knowledge of how to support early learning. I am experienced in not only taking the children to activities, but also coordinating them, keeping the children occupied and entertained while getting the must-do things done in an organised manner.
