My Summary

My Experience

I have seven years experience working as a nursery nurse in a private day care nursery where I am currently working as room manager in the 2-3 years room.

I am responsible for managing and supervising the room as well as supporting my team.I also observe,assess and maintain records of children's development and achievements and inform parents.

Throughout my time as a nursery nurse I have been very flexible and willing to work in other areas of the centre and have spent time in pre school room, 3-5 year olds and have been room manager in the after school and holiday club, 5-11 year olds.I was responsible for collecting a group of children from school each day and planning after school activities and outings around the children's individual interests.

I have also spent placements in schools,special need centres and a period of time working with a child minder.


I have also worked in a NHS nursery in Chesterfield,working full time and then going on supply for a short period of time due to staff coming back to work after maternity cover.

My favourite job has been being a private nanny for a family where I did day and night time shifts,looked after children in their own home while parents were away and also went on various holidays with them.Day to day was normally looking after their little girl of 6 months,taking her swimming and to various baby groups,and then taking the little boy to school and collecting and also doing any after school care that was needed.
