My name is Lorna Smith and I have been registered as a childminder in the Deans area of Livingston in West Lothian since 2007.
I am 55 years old, and live with my partner Darin and my Daughter Erin who is 20 years old who has a daughter willow who is 2yrs old.
I became a registered child-minder in April 2007 and love every minute of it! I enjoy the interaction with all the children and watching them grow physically and emotionally.
I am a member of the Scottish Child-minding Association and hold their Public Liability Insurance.
I live in a spacious home with fully enclosed front and back garden ensuring safe play for the children.
I am only minutes walk from Livingston north train station and minutes drive from M8 motorway for Glasgow or Edinburgh.
My Experience
I have been a mum for 20years and a childminder for over 15 years.
I have references from previous parents that are available for viewing at any time.
I have completed my NPA playwork and childcare at West lothian college and just completed my SVQ3 social services, children and young people.
My Qualifications
To allow me to provide the best possible service to children in my care and their parents I have undertaken extensive training and have attained numerous qualifications including those listed below. My training transcripts and certificates may be viewed at any time upon request.

My Availability
I have limited vacancies at present but it is advisable to give me a call as this can change at any time.
I do pick up and drop off at St John Ogilvie P.S. and woodlands nursery.
My normal childminding day is from Monday to Friday 7.30am – 6pm. However all requirements can be discussed.
I am available for babysitting at weekends in your own home.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
My standard fees are £5.00 per hour and £5.50per hour for school drop off and pick-up upto 1hr before and after, this includes a wide range of healthy snacks including fruit and vegetables and a choice of water, milk or low sugar diluted juice to drink.
I am happy to negotiate fees
The standard fees include all materials required for activities undertaken during the week and any standard outings to the library or local parks.
All fees are payable weekly or monthly in advance by cash, cheque or direct debit.

Very flexible, very helpful, welcoming home, my daughter loves Lorna to bits, variable activities for the children, summer holidays usually a trip once a week to suit all budgets, trips to local facilities also. Keep up the good work ????
