About Me
My name is Maria and I am a OFSTED Registered Child minder since August 2012,
graded GOOD in all areas ( February 2013, November 2016 and October 2022).
I am also a Qualified Primary School Teacher (QTS) and I taught for 12 years across Early Years and Primary Schools in London.
I live with my husband and 2 children ( aged 19 and 15) in Lee , SE12 8AL , 5 min walk from Lee Station, near Colfe's Secondary School.
I offer a homely environment where children in my care will learn and develop though play whilst following the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. I work closely with parents to ensure the children are feeling comfortable, happy and supported in each step of their journey. I encourage kindness, confidence and independence in a safe and secure setting. I also send parents daily updates and photos to keep you informed about your child's day.
My home is relaxed, friendly and safe where children will always be made feel welcome , valued and part of my home.
I provide fresh, healthy snacks and fresh home cooked meal.
Our house is spacious with a nice secure garden, providing lots of outside stimulating activities.
My house is non smoking and pet free.
I offer a range of activities: arts & crafts, messy play, story time, gardening, visits to parks, libraries, playgroups, singing, imaginative play...

Maria has cared for our son since spring 2019 and he has loved every day in her care. Maria is kind and very experienced. Everyday there is a walk or trip to a playgroup. Our kitchen walls are bursting with imaginative pictures Maria has helped our son create. Maria has a clean and cosy family home with lots of toys and a great garden which gets lots of use on warmer days. Maria cooks wonderful meals which are varied and managed to persuade our fussy eater to try more fruit than we manage at home! Everyday, Maria keeps up updated with photos and news of the day. We are so very grateful to Maria for nurturing our little boy over the year -we were very lucky to find her and even luckier that she had space.

We have been using Maria for our Mon - Thursday childcare since October 2018 for our first born little boy. I returned to work when he was 9 months old and we instantly felt at ease with Maria and knew she would be the right choice.
She made my return to work feel very straightforward - all communication was clear, she wrote down daily in a notebook when he had to eat, how long he slept and his general activities in the day. This worked very well - simple and clear. We could also use this if we had to give Maria any information in case we forgot to do it at drop off and pick up.
Maria regularly sends pictures and updates to us electronically (with our consent). Our little one loves being with Maria and has never had any difficulties settling with her. His development has come on tremendously with her regular playgroup attendance and activities at home. During the holidays and summer months they do other local outings with other childminders in the area. I think it’s a really great combination of lots of group playtime and quieter (!) time with Maria in her home.
We are going to be very sad to say goodbye to Maria when we move away from the area.
