About Me
Hi my name is Sue, I am an Ofsted registered childminder (EY253223). I work with an assistant, who is my eldest daughter ( level 3 qualified & registered assistant). I also have a p/t registered assistant, plus a bank assistant who helps out when required!. We are registered for the maximum no of children allowed by Ofsted, so 6 under 8’s each; so its quite a busy, fun and sociable setting!
In our last Ofsted we achieved a Good result (Feb ‘23).
I am qualified to level 3, obtained at Norland Nursery training College (a long time ago!). I am accredited to accept all of the government funding. I have over 25 years experience in childcare (0-12years) , and 2 grown up daughters of my own.
We have lots of room to play indoors and outside in a secure, well equipped garden. There are a large variety of toys to choose from, as well as different arts & crafts materials. We try to get out and about to local toddler groups, library, parks and softplay, etc. We also spend a lot of time doing adult-led activities, and preparing the older children for school entry. Snacks are provided by us, but I ask for a healthy packed lunch to be provided.
I constantly update my training, keeping up to date in all areas of childcare.
My Experience
I have over 25 years experience in childcare, registered as a Childminder since 2003. Extensive experience as a private nanny after qualifying at Norland NTC.
My Qualifications
NNEB - Norland.
ICP- Childminding. Accredited to accept funding.
First aid, food hygiene, level 3 safeguarding, behaviour management, ECAT, health & safety, diversity, outdoor play, english as an additional language, & special needs training (autism, asthma & allergies). Level 2 Autism Awareness.
My Availability
Monday-Thursday 7.30 until 5.30, extra hours may be available on request.
I also offer babysitting in the evenings.

Sue is an amazing childminder. We have been lucky enough to have her look after our little boy, and as a really nervous mum Sue has always made me feel confident my son is safe and having a great time.
It is a lovely home environment ☺️

Sue and her team have looked after both my children, my youngest still there. They both settled in really well and both enjoy their time with Sue.
They get the best of both worlds as they are in a home setting but have other children to socialise with.
They often go out and about and we get regular updates as to what they’ve been up to (like a termly report with photos) as well as a daily diary.
It’s always hard leaving your little ones with anyone but it’s made easy knowing they are in such good hands.

Both of my children have gone to Sue since they were about 6 months old, and they both love it and wander in quite happily when I leave them.
Sue has a great team of assistants through the week, and a few children at any one time, so it's always fun with someone to play with.
They also go on regular trips to the library, toddler groups, Active Trowbridge and the park so they come home with lots of news.
It's the perfect middle ground between a nursery and a home environment.

Sue has been fantastic with my 3 young children. They settled really well, my eldest couldn't wait to go back everytime. I would recommend to anyone looking for home from home childcare.
