My Experience
During my college course I experienced a year long placement at a nursery and a primary school. At the placements I carried out the same duties as the full time practitioners, at the nursery. This included feeding, dressing, playing and settling them down for sleep periods. At the primary school I helped the teachers with the lesson plans, taught some of the lessons, helped them out with admin jobs and played with the children.
My working experience includes looking after a wide range of children, who's ages include newborn-12 months, 2-3 years and 6-8 years old.
I get involved in all aspects of their care including school pick ups, preparing food and occasional night time babysitting.
