About Me

I am a registered childminder based in Streatham. I primarily work with children under the age of 5, although I do take older children to and from a local school and offer before and after school care.
I am also available to look after school aged children during school holidays, on INSET days and on snow days. I hold Early Years Professional Status (EYPS). I have completed a range of other related training provided by Lambeth Council and Pacey, including First Aid, Child Protectionn and SEN support. I have a Ofsted enhanced CRB/DBS.
I really enjoy the high level of individual care that I am able to give the children due to the fact that I only have small numbers of children to care for at any one time. This allows me to really get to know each child and their family and cater for their individual needs.I also know how difficult it is for parents to leave their child in a childcare setting and so I work closely with them to provide as much time and reassurance as necessary to gain their trust so that they can feel confident that they have left their child in a safe and caring environment. I strive to make my home a place where the children in my care can feel happy, comfortable and secure. I believe passionately that childhood is a time for fun, laughter and learning. I therefore provide the children with plenty of opportunities to play, explore and learn through a variety of stimulating and interesting activities and experiences. One of the main advantages of being a childminder is that I can take the children out and about. We therefore attend a variety of toddler groups, dance classes, art and craft classes, music classes, and soft play sessions. I love being outdoors with the children and I am a firm believer in the benefits of outdoor play, so we often visit play parks, nature reserves, the woods and the beach as well as spending a lot of time playing in the garden at home.? Messy play, art and craft activities feature heavily in my home. We are always making and creating something! So be prepared for your child to be involved in anything from cooking to making mud pies or painting with their feet! I have a diverse range of toys, books and resources for children of all ages which cater for all sorts of interests! All meals and snacks are freshly prepared daily using whole food ingredients.
I ensure that the care I provide covers all the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Strategy for any children under 5.
