About Me
I live in a three bedroom house within walking distance of Chafford Hundred station. I live with my husband and two young daughters who are seven and three.
I have been a working mum since I went back to work after having our eldest. I worked full time so know how hard it is to juggle family life with your working life. Whilst looking after your child I aim to provide them with a home from home environment providing a warm, welcoming and comfortable setting for both you and your child to attend. I provide three home cooked meals daily.
I have a conservatory that is designated as a playroom equipped with a wide variety of toys and equipment for all ages. This leads out onto an enclosed safe garden that your child will be able to access in all seasons.
I have no pets and my house as well as the surrounding property are all smoke free.
I live within walking distance of Warren Primary School and am able to collect and pick up from both the school and nursery.
My Experience
I have been a qualified childcare worker for the last 20 years and have worked in a variety of settings.
I spent three years working in baby rooms within the private sector, a year covering with an agency in various settings. After covering with the agency I then went on to work for an inner London local authority in an early years setting for 12 years. Whilst there I have continued to undertake various training courses ranging from one day refreshers through to ones that have provided me with additional qualifications.
I have now been childminding for the past 3 years looking after both early years children as well as those who attend school and require before and after school care. I have also continued to develop my knowledge by making sure that I undertake courses that are relevant to my profession and keep me up to date with new and relevant legislation's.

Mikala looks after my 11 month old son and he has thrived whilst being in her care. They are always doing activities whether out & about (weather permitting) or indoors when the English weather takes its toll. Mikala provides a warm & welcoming environment where the children learn through play and are encouraged to develop their skills. She provides excellent home cooked meals (I am sure my son eats better than I do) and provides a daily diary via a very useful online system. I would be happy to recommend her to anyone for their childcare needs.
