About Me
Hi, I am an Ofsted registered chilminder since 2004. I have begun to offer services as a live out Nanny/ share Nanny.
After 17 years I have relocated to sussex to be closer to my granddaughter.
I love working with children and watching them grow from Babies into amazing little people ready for the world. Our house is a busy house, but a fun loving one. We have added a separate playroom to our property, which all the children love. I have a large selection of resources to suit all ages and regularly alternate my resources to avoid boredom,children are able to choose a favourite at any time. I always have available . quiet area for books and puzzles, dressing up, small world, and we do lots of arts and crafts, with a large enclosed rear garden and outdoor climbing frame,swings, playhouse.We often take lots of activities outside and the children really enjoy the freedom. We have planted this year fruit and vegtables and bulbs, which the children are keenly watching for results. I am close to the local beach, woods and other places of interest, there is always plenty to do. During the summer months, we visit a wider variety of places of interest in suffolk, that we cannot during school time and network with other local childminders, in the holidays I have hosted a bouncy castle fun play day(which we funded together), where as a group we come together for a great day for all.
I believe in working with Parents, to encourage the children to reach thier full potential, through play led sessions and free time, they are able to discover themselves and thier own interests can be easily explored. I regularly run a themed month with story sacks and related activities which the children and Parents really liked to get involved with.This also includes importantley the ECAT project, which promotes childrens chatter as much as possible, as well as letter and sounds for them to use when they are ready for school.
My Experience
I having been working with children on and off for 26 years plus, starting with babysitting, youth club, play centres, a full time Parent, then on to childcare, where I have gained valuable experience in working with children and importantly Parents, therefore building a solid reputation in my profession, with excellent references and fantastic Parental comment sheets from my current Families. I was Graded a Good by Ofsted in May 2015, with a lovely report which is available for you to read as well.
I always go at things 100%, including training and being involved, hence I have completed a NVQ3 in childcare, I am a network childminder, I gained the Suffolk Quality Assurance and NCMA Children come first award. I was also a support to new Childminders. After completeing my NVQ3 I have become an Accredited Childminder.
) This means that your 3 or 4 year old child is able to access their 15 hours of Government funded session(term time only) with me instead of a Nursery or play group, this means that your child can still have the home environment when they are not quite ready for School.; Also a funded 2 year old session for those that qualify.
All of my relevant trianing is upto date including first aid, safeguarding children and food Hygiene. I offer Parents a free taster sessions, and a full Parent pack, with friendly policies.

We contacted Monique about looking after our daughter for the evening of our wedding, we were very apprehensive as we had only ever left her with family. Monique was very professional and friendly, she put our minds at ease. She arrived on time and made us feel very comfortable. Very polite and overall offered a brilliant service and will definitely be using Monique again in the future!

Today is my sons last day at Moniques Minding before he takes the plunge into his many years at school. Although I an truly excited that he is taking his next step in life, I am saddened that his time at Moniques Minding is coming to an end. He has been in Moniques care from 5 months old and has resided there for 4 years. During this time he has been cared for to a high standard and welcomed into her family environment. Like all parents feel, it is a huge step to return to work and leave your children in someone elses care, but I am truly grateful for finding such an amazing childminder who had put all my worries and concerns at ease. Monique has always found ways to accommodate my needs (with my slightly unpredictable work schedule) and the needs of my children. She has ben flexible in the approach to the care of my child and accommodated my second son, who will remain in her care for the next year.
I highly recommend Moniques Minding as I believe it is down to her positive attitude and the time and effort she puts into each childs personal development that my children will leave her service more confident and with the skills required to start full time education.
