My Summary
About Me
About my setting:
I am pleased to announce that I'm doing 15 founding hours free hours from September for 9 month - 2 YO and for 2 YO. Get in touch if you are interested.
Little bees was open in January 2013 and offer a strong sense of community and provides a warm and nurturing environment. There is an excellent child adult ratio to ensure the children are getting the best possible care at this important stage of their learning journey.
Children have a right to play. Play both indoor and outdoor is a fundamental commitment to children throughout the EYFS. Play is essential for children's development as they learn to explore, relate to others, set their own goals and solve problems. Children learn by leading their own play, and by taking part in play which is guided by adults. In an enabling environment, children choose to play, and are in charge of their own. What to do, what to use, what it is about, whether to play alone or with someone else how long to play. Having freedom and time to play in an appropriately stimulating and resources environment which is finely tuned for babies from very young age, toddlers and young children supports development and learning across all areas.
Parents and carers make a crucial difference to children's outcomes. The benefits are greatest when practitioners and families work in respectful partnership top develop ways to support children both at home and in the setting. Working together ensures a good understanding of a child's needs, leading to appropriate provision within the setting and the possibility of supporting learning at home.
Babies and children become attached to significant adult within reliable, respectful, warm and loving relationships which are essential in order to thrive. Babies and children experience well being and contentment when their physical and emotional needs are met and their feelings are accepted. Early experiences of love and attachment have lifelong benefits.
We have a very gentle settling in policy, where there is no pressure put on the children. At the very start, all we focus on is that the children are happy and feel settled in their new environment.
Each day, the children play outside in the garden, going to the parks or Woodlands.
At Little Bees we educate and nurture the whole child, providing opportunities for each child to discover and develop their own unique talents and abilities.
'We are committed to offering the best possible care for young children. Children leave Little Bees confident and happy, with enthusiasm and a thirst for knowledge. 'We want them be ready for school'
My assistants and myself will make sure that the activities are suited to your child’s unique needs. This is a little bit like a curriculum in primary and secondary schools, but it's suitable for very young children, and it's designed to be really flexible so that we can follow your child's individual needs and interests.
Please feel free under no obligation to come and have a look at our setting.
My Experience
Working in my own setting for 11 years I have learned about working as a team (with my assistant) which is very important in a small setting as a childminder setting. Everyday is a learning experience because not one day is like the other. Children are not predictable.
I need to be calm, kind and insightful to be able to be tuned into the needs of children and really love being with children. I just make such a difference – the happy faces and the learning, it’s a really fulfilling job to do. It’s a brilliant career for me and I couldn’t ask for more.
In childcare I can go through a lot of different emotions. One minute I'm getting warm hugs and kind words. Then at the blink of an eye you have two children screaming at each other because one child put a toy down and now another child has it and the first child wants it back because the other child is now playing with it. Confusing yep, but that is the mind of kids. They are in the moment and nothing else matters.
But whatever the day presents, the biggest thing that I try to do for all of the children is to just give them really fantastic experiences. So I try to keep things new and different all of the time. I have lots of visits, we go out, we do Forest School. The things that I plan range from making a volcano one day, to whipping up purple fairy foam outdoors the next. It’s all about that adult support, the interactions and talking with the children whilst you’re doing an activity that makes the difference. Sitting still, listening and repeating language and giving them the skills to be confident when it’s time for them to go to school is so important.”

I would recommend to everyone who is looking for a warm, family like, fun, educational, safe and reliable environment for their child.
Our boy joined Little Bees when he was 12 months old and stayed there until he was 3 years old. He very quickly adapted to the setting and really loved going there.
Communication is very good, you have a good visibility on how your child’s day is going with a detailed feedback each day.
Ewelina and her co-workers took a fantastic care of my son and I will be forever grateful x

Andy will be missed so much. And we will see each other from time to time. All the best at new place.
We sent both of our child to Little Bees, and we couldn't have wished for a better experience. Ewelina, her family and her team have been amazing. The setting, the settling in, cleanliness, the food, the activities, the learning and the communication have been first class. The only downside is that, as we have moved, we now don't get to see Ewelina everyday. We could not recommend Little Bees highly enough. Thanks again for everything Ewelina, we miss you!

Thank you for your feedback. I miss you all too, but my heart is taken by my little fella. Please come and visit me with J. if you are back to London.
My little boy attended Little Bees two days a week from September 2023 until August 2024, approximately aged 1yr until aged 2yrs. He settled in quickly and from then on he was a happy little chap marching inside and waving a cheery goodbye to us. He is normally quite clingy to his Mama, so how Ewelina got him so happy and secure going to her and being held by her in front of me is a mystery! She has lots of toys, takes them to the park and does really nice organised activities around easter, christmas, mothers day etc etc. Daily photos and a report at the end of the day. I liked that there were several other kids so my boy learnt about sharing and playing with others. We were sad to leave but my older child changed schools and the location became inconvenient for doing the 2 drop offs. We'll miss you Ewelina!

Thank you so much. It was my pleasure to look after J. I wish you all the best and I am here if you need me. Good luck for J in his new setting.
I would definitely recommend Ewelina and the team at Little Bees. My son started going there at 7 months and couldn’t have been looked after better especially at such young age. Ewelina always organises creative and fun activities in a very homely and gentle environment. She makes sure she sends pictures and the communication is easy via WhatsApp. Thank you so much Ewelina for taking care of Maxime so well.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. We will miss him so much. All the best for all of you. See you around.
My daughter had the best year in Ewelina’s care and if it wasn’t for moving away she would stay until school. Ewelina always had such a range of fun, creative and messy activities which my daughter loved. No two days were the same and there were regular trips out of home. My daughter’s individual needs were catered to and nothing was ever too much effort. Great daily updates and loads of pictures which was always the highlight of my day. She loved her like family and always asks about her. I’m so happy that I chose Little Bees as her first childcare setting and would recommend to anyone. We miss Evelina dearly :( xx

Thank you so much for your feedback. It was pleasure to look after X for short period of time. She has a piece of my heart and I will always missed her dearly. Little chatter. Keep in touch. All the best at new house.
We settled our little boy here at 1 year old and he absolutely loved it.
Being with a mixed age group really helped his development and built his confidence.
We were so gutted to leave but unfortunately we moved out of the area, otherwise he'd still be there.
Ewelina is an a star and the kids all love her.

Thank you so much. Me and the children are still talking about X. They miss him too. All the best for you and X.
We looked at a few settings before coming across Little Bees and knew instantly it was the one. Ewelina and the team are so welcoming and pay attention to every little detail. Our little boy started at the age of one with a dairy allergy and some sleep requirements which were always handled with the utmost care. We were amazed every day with his progression and development and loved to see the pictures we were sent each day. The menu is always varied and we loved how many different foods were on offer. We were also impressed by the imaginative and different activities each week and the willingness of the team to get stuck in. The Little Bees team soon became a second family and we trust them completely. Our son started preschool last month but we still keep in touch with Little Bees, we aren't ready to say goodbye just yet! Would wholeheartedly recommend!

Good morning, thank you for your feedback. That mean a lots to me. See you around.
Little Bees has been like a second family to us for 5 years- both of our children went here from 9 months to 3 years, and we are so sad our youngest is now leaving to start nursery at school. Since nervously sending our first baby there, we have never had a moment of concern or discontent. Our children were both cared for so lovingly and consistently. We felt instantly welcomed by the small community that Ewelina creates between the carers and parents, with daily updates on WhatsApp and even camping trips and pumpkin picking all together. We always felt that the care was effortlessly personalised for each child. The setting may not be the biggest, but Ewelina is tirelessly creative with the space. They do amazing messy play every day, and tons of themed indoor and outdoor activities with Ewelina’s artistic flourish always shining through. The food is home cooked and the kids eat and sleep like none of us parents can ever manage at home! Tons of photos every day and always opportunity to chat at the door. We feel so lucky we found this place for our children, and would not hesitate to recommend with the highest confidence. If you want your child to feel loved and not lost in a crowd with ever-changing staff, this is the place!

Thank you so much. Your words mean word to me. All the best for Adam. See you around.
Little bees has been a great setting for our Son. Ewelina and her team looked after my son since he was 9 months old. She always put the well-being of the kids first and the number of creative and fun activities have been endless. She also takes the kids to the zoo, museums, weekly visits to local park… my son has always loved it. She really focuses and respects the kids imagination, and has taught my son to play independently. Communication is great and we received daily pictures and videos. She also focuses on arranging meet ups for the parents so we can meet each others. My son is 3.5yo and with a heavy heart we have to leave her setting but if I have another kid I will definitely come back to Little bees. Thank you Ewelina, B and us will really really miss you and you all.

It was my pleasure to look after B for so long. I am very happy that he has grown into a lovely boy and ready for school. I will miss you lots but I hope to see you around.
We started our daughter at Little Bee’s after she didn’t really settle in at a nursery. We were quite apprehensive to start somewhere new, but Ewelina and her team were amazing. We had so much support from the start and our daughter was really cared for and looked after. Settling in can take as long as you or your child needs, and they take their time to understand what the children need in order to feel safe and happy. My daughter settled well and made amazing friends aswell as loving Ewelina and the team. We sadly had to leave as we moved location, but we can’t recommend Little Bees enough. The children get a lot of attention and care and they do so many fun activities each day. Also communication is really good and fast and that’s what you want when it’s anything to do with your child. Thanks for everything Ewelina :)
