About Me
Hi, My name is Gemma, I am a 43 year old Mum with two children living with my partner in the Myland Area.
I am an Ofsted registered Childminder.
As a mum, I understand the need to find good, reliable childcare where children feel safe, loved and comfortable in a environment where they can enjoy learning and develop naturally.
I promote a learning through play experience , and concentrate on the COEL - CHARACTERISTICS OF EFFECTIVE LEARNING .. ensuring children have opportunities to love learning, have a can do attitude and persist without giving up, as well as problem solving, self challenges and concentrating.. giving them the skills they will need when they start school.
I have many inclusive activities for the children to choose and enjoy and they have free flow access to the secure back garden. The Local park is just a short walk away and I have a car so we go on outings regularly to expose the children to different environments such as the zoo, Highwoods country park, and play groups to build their social skills.
Before and after school clubs are filled with many activities for the children to choose and is a more home from home experience where the children feel they belong part of a family as apposed to an extended school session. We also stop off at the park on the way home sometimes too.
We share our space with Cooper, our black Labrador…. He’s very chilled out and the children love him.
My Experience
I have over 20 years experience in pre-school and nursery education in the uk, Australia and International schools in Istanbul.
I have a CACHE Diploma in Pre school practice and continually attend courses to keep my knowledge and ideas updated and refreshed.
I have also worked with children and Adults with additional / special needs.
I have extensive knowledge of the EYFS creating the best environment for each families individual needs.
I have an OUTSTANDING from OFSTED and have been childminding for 10 years.
My Qualifications
CACHE Diploma in Pre-School practice
Current Paediatric first aid certificate
Safe guarding Children certificate
Health and Safety certificate
Completed CYPOP5 ( Childminding course recommended by Essex county council and the NCMA )

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
£5.50 per hour or part there of which are payable in advance.
Before and after school clubs are a set price , which include breakfast and a 2 course freshly prepared meal, earliest drop off is 7.30 a.m. Latest collection is 6p.m.
£7.12 for breakfast club.
£17.25 for after school club.

Gemma is brilliant with my 3 year old and 7 year old. Both of them love going. We love the friendly atmosphere, wide range of activities and flexibility. Couldn’t ask for a better childminder!

Gemma is an excellent childminder who provides brilliant care for our 6 year old daughter after school and on non-pupil days.
Her food is always home made and she has a wide range of toys and activities for the children to do/play with.
Like the title says - superb!!

Gemma looks after my 5 year old son after school twice a week and he absolutely loves the time he spends with her. Gemma keeps him entertained with various activities. I couldn't ask for a better childminder.
