Absolute Star

Rachel has been amazing, our son has essentially had a second family. He has been exceptionally well looked after and cared for.
Communication has been excellent throughout; prompt and detailed. We regularly get pictures of the various activities our son has been doing. The activities have been varied and engaging too.
Our son has always been very happy when we've picked him up. No doubt helped by the dinner he'd have just had. Seriously, my wife and I have wished on many occasions that she gave the option of take home portions for the parents, because Rachel's food smells amazing.

Amazing!

Rachel is a godsend. She is an amazing childminder who genuinely cares about the children in her care. Our son has been with her since he was 10months old and he has been happy and settled from day one. He has never cried when being left and is always so happy to see both Rachel and the other children. Rachel is excellent at communicating with us, the food is excellent and she does really varied activities with them. She also tailors activities to the interests of the children. Our son’s language skills have really developed and all of the kids are well behaved, well mannered and really happy. We especially love that she does social meet-ups for the parents and children alongside a few other childminders. It’s great to get to know the other parents and kids. I really can’t recommend her enough. Professional, kind, warm, caring, the exact person you’d want looking after your child.

Home from home

I highly recommend Rachel as a childminder. She has looked after both our children and my youngest, over the past year. Rachel is personable and professional and shows great warmth and love to all the children in her care. She understands each childs needs personally and creates a learning environment to suit their individual needs. My daughter has thrived in her care and enjoyed the home from home setting. They go out each day and to local events and activities. My daughter has particularly enjoyed having the more recent addition, of a dog 'Honey' in the house. Rachel makes fresh home cooked food and sets clear rules and boundaries, particularly at meal times. My daughter feels safe and secure in Rachel's care. I couldn't ask for a better local child minder. I highly recommend her! We are sad to be leaving her care. Thank you so much for all you've done.

A really lucky find!

Rachel is a fantastic childminder. My daughter has been with her for over a year now and absolutely loves going to her. Rachel has a great setting and a really strong knowledge of children's development, however it is her amazing rapport with the children she cares for which makes her so brilliant. You can tell that she really loves her job and she goes above and beyond to make sure the children are receiving great experiences every single day, visiting local playgroups, regular visits to the park or taking part in lots of different activities at home and in the garden. Rachel also often invites parents to join in on visits and organises get togethers for the families too. On top of this she makes amazing home cooked meals which my daughter absolutely loves!

I usually want to stay for Dinner!

Rachel has been a great reassurance for me, helping with after school pick-ups when my son started in reception year. She treats every child as an individual and understands their varied needs especially during transition times. My somewhat reluctant eater has tried and enjoyed so many wonderful dinners in Rachel’s care, for which I am eternally grateful. I would recommend Rachel as a child minder without any doubts.

Excellent service

Rachel has been providing after school care and holiday cover for our son since Sep-16. Right from the start Rachel has been flexible and extremely accommodating of our family. She is well organised with her documents and processes. Included in the fees, she includes a hot daily meal for the children, which is delicious and also nutritious and has improved my son's fussy eating habits by a "country mile".Rachel takes excellent care of all the children in her care and my son loves being with her and we foresee that she will continue to care for our son throughout his primary school years and we would highly recommend her services to anyone looking at her services.

Wonderful childminder

My daughter Keira , first attended sessions with Rachel in May 2013, at the age of 22 months.

She has thoroughly enjoyed her time with Rachel and learnt many new skills through interaction with other children and Rachel herself.

Keira has loved attended these sessions and expresses her enjoyment every time I pick her up, talking about Rachel and the children along with never wanting to leave! , her happy smiley face speaks for itself.

Painting and creating pictures, playing with toys, reading stories, garden play and trips out, Keira loves every minute. Rachel also addresses the importance of learning good and fair behavior (ie sharing toys, playing fairly with others, and having house rules ( ie taking off shoes and good table manners).

Rachel also documents Keira’s work and accomplishments which is great for me as I also have an insight into her progress and development.

Rachel is (and always will be) my instant recommendation to anyone considering using a childcare service and have to say that the care and service she provides are fantastic.

Amazing!

It was such a relief to find Rachel when I went back to work when my baby was 9 months old. My baby warmed to Rachel straight away and was clearly relaxed and content in her company. Rachel provides an environment which is warm, safe and fun. Every day my baby has done something interesting and been outside (which was very important to me!) as well as eaten the beautiful wholesome meals that Rachel makes! It is really hard going back to work and leaving your baby for the first time but Rachel helped make the transition so much easier for both me and the baby. She is as the title says - amazing!

Excellent childminder

Rachel has been looking after my little boy for just over a year since he turned one. I couldn't be more happy and comfortable with leaving him with her, as soon as I dop him off he gives my a little wave walks off happily, Which leaves me guilt free to go to work.
Rachel is always happy to help and fit into our needs. She is a pleasure to have around and my son is very happy before and after his days with her. Thank you Rachel for making it so easy and worry free.

Highly Recommended

Rachel is an excellent, trustworthy and child centered childminder. She always puts the children first, ensuring their safety and care, whilst engaging them in creative and developmental activities. My 3 children have loved being in Rachel's care, and she has always gone above and beyond the call of duty for them, and to help me out as a parent. Highly recommended!!
