About Me
I have lived in St Ives for 32 years and have three children. (27 24 and 16) and a 3 year old Granddaughter.
I have been in the childcare environment for 32 years starting from the age of 15 and i love it!!
The most rewarding thing about my job is watching the children develop and knowing i have had a hand in that whilst working closely with the parents/carers.I love watching and helping them explore and learning new things every day.
I use a lot of natural resources inside and outside. And i believe in encouraging childrens independence and natural curiosity.
At the moment I am only available for Wheatfields catchment area.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 16 years after working at a pre-school as a supervisor and deputy supervisor. I have been a nanny and a nursery nurse working with children since i was 15 years old . I absolutely love working with children and the families. I am qualified in early years and pre-school practice and train regularly in Special educational needs, The early years foundation stage, Learning and Development ,Safeguarding and food Hygiene. I am first aid trained. I am also an accredited Childminder .
I also successfully run a family support group in St Ives for families of children with special needs and work closely with professionals to meet the families needs.
I am also accredited and i am a network childminder and can offer 15 hrs free funded places 3 - 5 yrs and Funded two's if criteria is met. I also offer the 30 hours government funding
I am registered with OFSTED and a PACEY member and attend a weekly childminder group working closely with other local childminders..

My Availability
I am flexible and try to work around the parents . I do operate a waiting list.
Wheatfields primary school catchment area. And local pre-schools . Open from 7.00am - 5 pm but can open from 7 am on request.
Can provide term time only. and holiday cover

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
I am happy to discuss my fees with you in person
My fees include snacks and activities , trips and days out.
I provide healthy snacks such as fruit and savory snacks taking into consideration the child's dietary needs.
Water and milk available at all times
Meals - I encourage parents to provide meals although i will provide on request :) id rather spend my time with Children rather than cooking :)

- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Wheatfields Primary School
