I am the oldest of two brothers and two sisters, in addition to having two step-sisters, so quite an extended family! With me being the oldest and my parents having high powered jobs, it was my responsibility after the nannies and childminders had gone, to help cook, look after and play with my siblings. As well as babysitting duties.
I have a wide range of experience concerning ages from new born to teenagers. I have been a Nanny for over fitteen years now. When I first moved to London from my home town of Woodbridge in Suffolk, I was a Nanny for a family of three children, one boy and two girls ages (5, 9, 11) in Highbury.
I became a Nanny to a beautiful baby girl for eighteen months, originally part-time, while studying English Literature at Queen Mary University of London. I also looked after two young boys aged (3 and 5), for two afternoons a week, one of which was autistic. Once I graduated the family of the little girl asked me to stay on and become full time, this continued until she started nursery in September 2011.
In September 2011 I became a full-time Nanny to gorgeous twins, who I was with since they were less than three months old. After a brilliant year together, I moved to Bristol for my partners work commitments. The twins and the parents are still very much like family to me, and I babysit the twins whenever needed.
In Bristol, 2012 I became a nanny to two little girls (7 months and two years old), however the family relocated to Dubai.
I really missed London, so we moved back at the start of 2013, making London my home until moving to Cambridge in 2018. For a change of scenery and to utilise my degree, I started work in the corporate world in the City, but realised I was happier being a career Nanny.
I began my next role in a Nanny share in October 2013 in Wimbledon, where I stayed with the main family for over three years. The main family had a six month old boy when I started. During this time I had done two nanny shares (the first lasting 10 months, which was with a little boy who was 2 when I began, and the second was for 2 years with a little boy the same age as the main families eldest). Latterly the main family employed me on their own as they had a second child and the other family moved to Bray. I absolutely loved my time in these nanny shares.
My husband and I decided to take time out from our careers to travel the world. Although it was very sad to leave such a loving, kind family that I felt very much part of, they were also incredibly supportive of this travelling opportunity.
When coming back from travelling I found a full time role with a lovely family in Fulham, with two boys aged 1 and 3 in the summer of 2017. In this job, both parents worked long hours and travelled extensively, so I stayed overnight quite a bit and worked a 55 + hour week.
Full nursery duties included activities with the children such as monkey music, baby Mozart, cookery classes, Baby Bach, sing & sign, palace explorers, Purple Dragon and play groups. Responsibilities included dropping off and picking up the children at nursery in the mornings and afternoons. Cooking healthy, delicious meals for the children, and sometimes the parents. Running errands related to the children and family. Organising fun activities, days out and play dates. Doing the bi-weekly food shop. On some nights I would do bath time and put the children to bed, helped with weaning, potty training and sleep training. Organised doctors, dentist and hair appointments. Helped with homework and school projects from the nursery. Liaised with the housekeeper. Encouraged the boys to be confident, kind and well mannered, that they are enjoyed their childhood and made sure they were generally safe and content.
After almost two years with this brilliant family the Mum decided to take a break from work.
I became a full time, live out nanny in August 2019, with a family in Islington, London commuting from Cambridge Monday to Thursday, to a wonderful baby boy. I was with this family for over a year until they moved to Surrey.
I'm now a wrap around Nanny to two lovely girls aged 11 and 12 and have been in this role for over three years in Cambridge. I'm currently looking for work that fits around this job, meaning I'm free from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Thursday and free all day Friday. I'm also available for evening and weekend babysitting.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Olivia nannied for us for over 3 years (October 2013 to December 2016), first as part of two nanny shares and then solely for our family. When she joined us our first son was 6 months old and when she left our sons were 3 ½ and 1 year old.
Olivia is extremely loving and is a natural with all children. She is caring and nurturing and the boys loved being around her. She lights up when she sees children and is particularly good with babies/ young children. It is no surprise to us that she was approached in Brockwell Park (whilst looking after our boys) by a lady whose friend was looking for a nanny because this lady was so impressed by her manner with our children. Olivia went on to work for this lady’s friend on a short term basis (about 10 Mondays we think) looking after two children.
Olivia is very knowledgeable about nutrition and was invaluable when weaning our first son. She is a very good cook and cooks a lot from scratch. Our boys loved her food and she stocked up the freezer with meals which as working parents was really useful. She was also good at baking with our toddler (which he loved).
Olivia is first aid trained. Both our boys had severe reflux when they were little and Olivia was responsible for administering their medication three times a day. She was also very pro-active at making sure they are ok and administering first aid when needed.
Olivia was flexible and often came in early or stayed late when we needed her to and occasionally stayed overnight with the boys. We were extremely confident about leaving our boys with her. Olivia integrated into the community very well often meeting other nannies and parents for play dates or arranging play dates at our house. We loved our sons to be social so this was very important to us.
Olivia was brilliant at arranging trips for our boys and taking them to a wide variety of interesting and stimulating places including city farms, museums, galleries, Hampton Court, Kew gardens and the South Bank. She also took them to various parks, soft play centres, swimming, the library and classes such as Gymboree and Tiny Tunes music. She helped arrange things such as present buying, card making, doctor’s appointments and when we have needed it has picked up things such as milk, formula, food and dry cleaning. We were always able to rely on Olivia for all the extra things that come with being working parents.
Olivia was excellent at teaching our oldest son good manners including saying please and thank you and asking to leave the table after meals. She introduced a “thinking step” for when his behaviour was difficult or challenging and she was excellent at calmly getting down to his level to explain why he has been put on the step.
We liked Olivia from the moment we met her and knew she was somebody we would look forward to seeing in the morning. Having someone in your house everyday it needs to be someone you like and respect and we have a good friendship with her.
The boys missed Olivia when she moved on (as did we). We are still in touch. We are proud to have had her as our nanny and any family will be lucky to have her.
Liv has been taking care of my now two year old daughter for the past year on a three-day-a-week basis, with the odd weekend and evening. She has been conscientious, loving and a wonderful playmate for our little girl. Her experience and care has been invaluable, particularly as we have had issues with allergies and eczema. We can't recommend her highly enough.
