About Me
Hello, parents! I am a registered childminder in Bush Hill Park with 20+ years experience. Graded "good" with "outstanding" features, March 2022. My name is Jayne, and I offer quality childcare in a home from home environment where children feel safe and loved. My spacious house with garden is close to the park and a 10 minute walk from Enfield Town. Babies and young children have access to an exciting range of early years toys, books, puzzles, games, and fun learning activities. We also do daily visits to local playgroups, parks or the library. I offer yummy, healthy, homemade vegetarian meals and cater to special dietary needs. Sleepy children have their own bedrooms, cots and bedding. I have cats who are child friendly (or just keep out of the way!) and who are fleed and wormed on a regular basis.
Bush Hill Park mainline station is 10 minutes by foot. 192 bus stops outside. There is usually parking available outside my house if you come by car.

My Experience
Mother of two beautiful grown-up girls, I have been a registered childminder since 2001 and cared for babies and children between the ages of 6 months to 8 years. I have also spent 2 years working in a pre-school where I gained lots of valuable experience with 2 and 3 year olds. I believe that young children learn through play when they are having fun, and I aim to support children's development in a caring, relaxed environment in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
My Qualifications
I am qualified with the Certificate in Early Years Practice (Level 4) from the Open University and the Certificate in Childminding Practice (Level 3) (CACHE). I also have the Diploma in Pre-School Practice (Level 3) (CACHE). I keep up to date with my training on a regular basis, ie. paediatric first aid, food safety in catering, safeguarding children, Makaton sign language, special educational needs, and children's language development.

Our daughter was with Jayne from 9 months until 2.5 years, then our son from 11 months until 1.5 years. Jayne has provided a wonderful home-from-home environment for our children in their earliest years. We are so lucky to have found her. She has cared for them as they stepped out into the world for the first time, she has inspired them with her park and playgroup trips, and she has made them feel safe, secure and confident both in her presence and in her lovely home. She has enabled us to go to work feeling completely happy knowing she is giving them everything they want or need!
Other things about Jayne - she's cheerful, she very quickly understands their personalities and works with them, she is nice and funny and we very often have a laugh or a nice chat at pick up. She cooks lovely food, and so importantly, she takes them out and about in Enfield, pretty much come rain or shine.

⭐️ Simply outstanding ⭐️. A safe and nurturing environment, combined with tons of patience, kindness and care.
Jayne looked after our second son for two years and he simply adored her. He was waking up on weekends and asking if he can go to Jayne. There were mornings when he would run to her house and would forget to say goodbye at the door. This was a drastic change from the shy, timid and teary boy, which we left at the beginning.
She gave him so much love and so many adventures. They were out at playgroups and at the park every day. I loved the amount of fresh air and sunshine, which he gets. Jayne would send me 10-12 photos daily and this was probably my most favourite thing, seeing the range of activities, which she provides and also his face expressions while trying anything from arts to playing with dinosaurs.
Jayne was caring and supportive. Her communication was excellent. If we didn’t move out of London my third child would have been booked to be in Jayne’s care as well. And as to my first child, I always regretted not knowing Jayne when he was small.
I can only leave a maximum of five starts in the review, but here are six from me, as Jayne deserves each one of them. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jayne has taken care of our 2.5 year old daughter for a year now. She came recommended and took her on during the pandemic. We were relieved to have such a reliable and caring childminder. She provides a great structured routine and our daughter benefited from this as she settled quickly and liked going to her house. Jayne has interesting toys which she rotates on a daily basis, story times, playgroup visits and provides local park trips on a daily basis. Thank you Jayne for all the care you have given to our daughter.

Jayne was recommended to us by a friend just before our daughter turned 1yrs and I was planning to go back to work.
From the very first visit our daughter was calm and engaged with Jayne, the other children and the environment. Jayne is calm, caring and professional. Jayne has given our daughter one to one exceptional and exemplary care for 3yrs.
Ofsted registered, her days are structured with visits to playgroups, the park, the library, playing and learning and reading times built in to the day. There are healthy meals at mealtimes and there is an opportunity to rest. The children get to learn other experiences such as baking and gardening which I was most impressed with!
We get updates by way of images and texts throughout the day as well as other specific developmental reports.
My daughter can count well and has developed excellent language skills and vocabulary. She has also developed good social skills and how to engage with other children and people.
Both my husband and I have very busy working days and we have felt secure in knowing that our daughter is safe and looked after all day by Jayne.
We would highly recommend Jayne and the high level of care she offers. She’s a rare find!

Jayne has been looking after our 2 year old daughter since she was a year old. Jayne has provided an excellent home-from-home environment and our daughter loves going to her house. Jayne takes the children out everyday to the park, a playgroup or the library and they also cook, paint, read, dress-up, play in the garden etc. at Jayne's house. Jayne has a lot of toys for the children (far more than we have!) and brings different sets of toys out everyday, centred around a particular theme (animals, cooking etc). Our daughter really enjoys the company of the other children and looks forward to playing with them, often talking about them at home. Jayne provides photos and updates twice a day so we know how our daughter is doing and Jayne is always happy to provide additional feedback at the end of the day. I would certainly recommend Jayne to anyone looking for a childminder. We are very happy that we found Jayne and very grateful for all her hard work.
