Hello my name is Emma,
I am 29 years old. I am a friendly, caring and patient person who adores being around children and making long lasting friendships within the family and supporting families who really could do with just having a break and need a little help !
I am a mum of 3 children. My step son is 10 , my daughter is 10 and my youngest daughter is 6.
We also have a Saint Bernard called Optimus and a pet tortoise called Yoda !
We are a very active family who enjoy going out on days out, , hobbies, and doing arts and crafts .
My children are very happy and enjoy the company of the children I work with. My children regularly come out on day support with me and have a very good understanding of children with disabilities and are very patient and caring with them. My children have recently attended a disability awareness training which they loved.
I am looking to find a loving and happy family to work with along side my other job and around my family.
Days I am available
Evenings after 5pm
Saturday - all day
Sunday - all day
As I have my own children this will either be at my house or out in the community. I am available to do evenings on weekends but as my husband works on weekend this would need to be at my house only. I would also consider overnights.
I AM NOT A REGISTERED CHILDMINDER. But have an up to date DBS Check.
My Experience
I work full time as a senior support worker for a fostering agency. I have worked here for 5 years. I work with children with disabilities and very complex medical needs. My previous job was working in a children's residential /respite home with children with disabilities.
I have also done night shifts and awake nights with a disabled boy who was PEG fed.
I have also worked as a care assistant for Care watch for 4 years prior.
The past 5 years have been with young children between the ages of 4- 16 years old with complex disabilities and challenging behavior.
