My Summary
About Me
I am 44 year old and mother to two boys (age 10 and 15 years). I have worked full time throughout my adult life and know only too well the ‘joys’ of a daily commute.
I am sympathetic to the pressures of working parents and aim through my childminding business to make your life easier. I will achieve this by providing a happy and inclusive setting where children thrive. I charge a set monthly amount that is inclusive of the varied activities and nutritious meals that I provide. I have no hidden costs, therefore you will not be met with requests to fund activities or meals. My aim is to remove childcare stress so you can concentrate on your working day.
My home is happy, safe and inviting for children. I have completed a large extension and refurbishment of my home with my thriving childminding business at the forefront of all decisions. The rear of the premises is open plan with ample space to play and let your imagination run wild. I have also sought the advice of local support agencies and training courses to ensure my home is a welcoming and enabling environment for all that attend.
I love spending time outdoors and we try to go out each day for a variety of activities which are included in my fees:
Outdoor exploration in our vast selection of local woods, National Trust sites and parks.
Soft play, Toddlers play sessions at local halls and Children’s Centres. Free and Structured play along with Arts, Crafts, Baking and lots more!
Since Coronavirus hit the UK I have completed various online training courses in my own time to enhance my childcare provision and still provide a fun, varied learning experience for all children. I have loved introducing the Danish Hygge approach to learning and mindfulness in my setting with a 52 week nature study. I have also completed over 20 Childcare.co.uk webinars ranging from vocabulary and reading in the Early Years, teaching 1 + 2 years olds, 2 + 3 year olds and blended curriculums to mention just a few. Each course has provided me with new skills and motivation to drive the curriculum in my setting forward and embrace new learning opportunities in this changing world.
Your child will be provided with a varied nutritious diet.
I do a daily school run to Bell Farm School.
My Experience
I have been a childminder for over 10 years and had the pleasure of helping lots of little people grow from as young as 9 months to 10 year olds. From the minute your child starts at my setting they become part of our family and they are loved like one of my own. I have work?ed with families of varying needs throughout this time and sought advise, training and guidance to ensure my service is tailored for every need.
Having been a ‘working mummy’ through my son's early years I am familiar with the pressures of managing family and work. With good communication and partnership I aim to make parent’s lives hassle-free through confidence that your child will be well cared for in a home-from-home setting.
My Qualifications
I have completed all relevant Childminding, Safeguarding and First Aid training.
I have an ongoing Continuous Professional Development file to ensure my knowledge is relevant, current and customised to the children that attend my setting. I often share my knowledge, skills and resources with my families to ensure continuity with home and a consistent approach to learning.
Further to my formal training I have also graduated in the art of catching flying spaghetti, searching for Gruffalos and constructing elaborate dens... AKA Motherhood!
My Availability
I am currently full. I will update this section should my availability change but at present I do not anticipate having a space until mid 2025.
I only do wrap around school care for Bell Farm School and can not assist with other schools in the area.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.75 per hour
Since September 2020 I have introduced a set monthly charge to make childcare payments even easier. I calculate a bespoke set monthly amount payable 12 months of the year so families know what they are paying every month thus making budgeting easier.
I do not charge for my holiday, bank holidays or my sickness. I provide my holiday dates months in advance (I have already given my families all my dates for 2024) so you can plan your holidays and family time with no last minute surprises.
I accept all childcare vouchers and tax free childcare.
Payments to be made by 1st of each month.

My daughter has been going to Emma since she was around 14 months. Emma made her transition into childcare so stress free and accommodated all of my wishes (routine, diet, etc). Emma has such a fantastic reputation in the area and her setting is such a relaxed, clean, fun and happy place for the children. I love the fact that Emma takes the children on lots of fun adventures and outings and makes an effort to give them a varied week. My daughter has developed so much socially and intellectually because of this. I know that she feels safe and secure with Emma and with the rest of her family at home, so much so that I left her overnight with Emma when I was in hospital having my second baby, who Emma will also be looking after! I cannot recommend Emma highly enough. Any family who gets a place with Emma is very lucky. She is caring, thorough, professional, warm, trustworthy and reliable, and very organised with the admin/financial side of things.
My sister used Emma as a childminder for her daughter many years ago and given the fact she is still in touch with them goes to show how amazing Emma is. I truly believe Emma knows every child in our area! She is so friendly to everyone who meets her, and in the first few months of our pregnancy I begged her to take our son when we were ready. He has now been in her care for the past few months and I honestly don’t even want him to join a nursery in the future because she is so wonderful.
The settling sessions were so good for us both, Emma kept us updated throughout and sent updates for the first few weeks almost hourly. (I really needed this as we sent him a few months earlier than anticipated and I was very nervous leaving him!)
She always has a smile on her face, is so enthusiastic with the children, so calm and really gets to know each child in her care which is so special to see.
We love her and couldn’t be happier to send our son in each day!
We used Emma as emergency childminder cover last year. Despite it being a completely new environment, my 1 year old settled in really well and Emma was so caring and lovely, he had a great time. We were kept updated on how he was doing and came out smiling each day! I would definitely recommend Emma!!
Emma has been looking after our son since he was just over a year old. He joined the setting during covid which should have added a challenge but Emma has been amazing at settling him into the group and providing amazing care for him.
Nothing is too much trouble and she has been amazing throughout tue pandemic. Our son has flourished abs become more confident and has made some lovely friends at the setting but also views Emma and her family as an extended family. He really loves her and found to hers everyday.
Emma is such an amazing child-minder and is currently looking after my youngest daughter after she looked after my eldest 4 days a week for 2.5 years.
Emma looked after my girls from 8 & 10 months old and they both settled in pretty much straight away. Her home and family are so lovely and welcoming and she really does provide a home from home for them. Both of my girls were terrible eaters and sleepers when they started at Emma's, but she made massive in-roads with helping them take regular daytime naps and eat a wider variety of foods.
As soon as you meet Emma her friendliness, kindness and love for children is evident. Days at Emma's are always fun filled, even in these times of the Pandemic, they are always out and about getting plenty of fresh air and experiencing the world around them.
Emma is always professional and she is excellent at communicating, she sends across a daily diary over WhatsApp and keeps all of her policies updated. During lockdown when she had to close she entertained us each day making videos of song times and stories and we even had a play dough disco over zoom, she really did go the extra mile to keep in touch with the children in readiness for them returning.
Emma's house is in a great location on a quiet road, close to the Half Way, Walton Station and Bell Farm School (she did school drop offs for my daughter).
Emma really is the best child-minder around and I couldn't think of anyone else I would want to look after my 2 little girls!
