03/12 - 05/13
I was working for a bilingual family in Putney looking after their 2 girls (6m and 18m at start) up to 3 mornings a week. It was a mix of shared and sole charge. I cooked lunch for the girls, put them down for their nap and played with them. As the family now need a full time nanny the job finished. I still babysit for them or help out when their nanny is sick/on holiday. I have a reference from this position.

06/13 - 07/15
Again a bilingual family, this time a boy 2/3 afternoons - sometimes with his older sister (23m and 4y at start). I picked him up from nursery and then spent the next few hours, depending on the weather, playing inside or outdoors. With his sister I played boardgames, baked and did crafts and homework. As both children are in full time school now this position has finished and I just help out occasionally. I don't have a written reference, but the family are happy to be contacted.

06/13 - 09/15
This position is looking after a little girl (8m at start) and later on her little brother to increase their exposure to German as her dad is German. It started with one morning a week, increased to four mornings. This is more of a mothers help role. I have a reference from this position.

06/15 - current
A trilingual family with a 6m old boy to start off with, now there are 3 children ranging from 7 to 10 years old. Over the years this position changed many times - shared and sole charge, full days to just a few hours a day, overnight and proxy parenting.

I also have a few regular adhoc families who I help out during school holidays, appointments and evening babysitting.

All the children so far are half German and I try to encourage as much German as possible through singing, games and books.

Other than raising my own children bilingual in English/German I was an Au Pair in my twenties.

Having been made redundant from an IT job in a big bank 15 years ago I looked for a more enjoyable and meaningful occupation, hence working with children.

I do really enjoy being part of a child's life with all that's involved. Being a mum myself I know what's involved juggling children and work, can cook healthy meals and have done the teething/weaning/toilet training.

My Availability

Currently I'm working Wednesday and Thursday afternoons/evenings.

I'm looking for something to fill some of the remainder of the week. Either some mornings or one or two full days or one or two afternoons only.

I'm also available for evening/weekend babysitting.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
• Nannying from £16.00 per hour (gross)

Depending on the situation.
