About Me
I’m a wheelchair user, disabled by a chronic illness that leaves me very exhausted by small things and makes moving difficult. My daughter is a gorgeous, sometimes challenging 8-year-old who loves to sing and play with Lego.
I’m looking for somebody to join the little team of people who help us live a wonderful life despite my illness.
My Requirements
I’m looking for a self employed PA, and I can pay £17 per hour. Hours are flexible depending on your availability, and there’s the option to either have a regular schedule or make plans week to week.
Possible Tasks (depending on the time and day)
Support mum with chronic illness in her parenting role, including school runs, morning and evening routine, mealtimes
Support mum and daughter on trips such as church, theatre, beach, and socialising with guests at home
Personal care
Housework & laundry
Meal prep
Taking 8-year-old to after-school activities or swimming, without her mum
Occasional babysitting
Essential Characteristics:
Respect for mum’s role as main caregiver to her child
A playful, gentle, positive approach to children
Flexibility, sensitivity and kindness
Desirable Characteristics:
Car driver
Experience with children
Experience with autism
An understanding of chronic illness, fatigue and/or postural tachycardia
Experience with personal care
