My Summary
About Me
I am a mature Childminder registered with Ofsted and am able to offer the free 15 / 30 hour funding for under 2's as well as for 2/3 & 4 year olds (subject to criteria satisfaction). Among others, I hold an up to date DBS; child development; food safety level 1 and a paediatric first aid certificates, amongst others.
I care for both full-time, part-time and school-run where possible as well as babies and children from birth.
I supply all snacks / drinks / wipes and nappy creams, (unless prescribed by a doctor).
I am happy to provide dinners - although if your child is weaning I ask that any baby foods are provided. Dinners may be sent by parents as packed lunches, if preferred - this way you know / can control what your child is eating on a daily basis.
The only things I don't supply are nappies / formula and specialised / jars etc of baby foods. My fees include costs incurred for most outings and treats such as ice-creams - There may be an outing on the rare occasion, when a contribution would be requested, eg. a visit to the zoo etc.
My Experience
I have 3 children of my own children , 1 of whom attends school full-time another has just finished college and the eldest is working locally.
We also have Smokey, (the cat), 2 terrapins and a collection of fish along with Ruby / April & Spartacus (our 3 shi-tsu dogs).
I am a qualified Primary school teacher. I have been working with / caring for children for almost 27 years - 14 of which have now been through Childminding.
As a teacher I worked with children from Nursery to Year 6 and with a full range of abilities & disabilities.
I have a range of indoor and outdoor equipment, such as slides, books, and other assorted age related resources for ages ranging from young babies to 11 years. I regularly take the children to local parks - dependent on the weather - and to age related playgroups, eg. toddler groups & soft play centres etc.
My Qualifications
I currently hold all relevant childminding qualifications and certificates, such as paediatric first aid; oral health; child development, food hygiene / safety, data protection, Level 3 Senco; business insurance for my car and personal liability insurance (PLI).
I keep up-to-date with new policies / government initiatives and regularly go on training courses in the evenings, at weekends and online .
I gained an Ofsted grading, in May of 2019, as 'Good'.
My Availability
I am available monday to Friday, 07:30 am to 4.30 / 5.00pm, but can be flexible, to a point, in this. Please feel free to message me if your requirements lie outside of these times.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
These are in-line with other childminders in the area and are lower than many nurseries, with more flexibility in terms of hours/ holidays etc..

I offer very competitive discounts where childcare is needed for siblings.
