Sheena is an excellent tutor and I would strongly recommend her. My son adores the way she teaches him .Her lessons are always very well-prepared and delivered in a way my son can understand. She also did help outside of the lessons and marked papers I have sent her which is very kind. Homework wise very limited work given, but she always assured me that whatever she is teaching in class is more than enough .He got offers from top grammar schools . He will be going to one the top 5 in school UK .
I highly recommend Sheena and her approach to preparing your kid in a structured way and toward great success. Teachers are great role models and Sheena is always there to help and support parents. Thank you once again.

Sheena is an exceptional English teacher. She helped our son, who has always disliked the subject, prepare for his independent school entrance tests. Not only did she engage him in a subject he'd always resisted, but she also significantly improved his proficiency. Her personalised teaching approach made English interesting, leading to an incredible outcome: my son received scholarship offers from both Eton and Tonbridge. I can't recommend her highly enough.

We met Sheenan when my son was towards the end of Year 4 and was preparing for the 11+ plus exams. Within 4 months my son’s level of vocabulary and comprehension skills was advanced such that he would write an excellent story and his creative writing was improved. My son passed his 11+ plus exams for both Kent and Medway and he was offered a school with a Kent grammar school despite being out of the catchment area all thanks to Sheenan.
Sheenan also takes a keen interest in her students.

I don’t recommend Sheena. We had very bad experiences with her. She agreed an online lesson and we paid. But she didn’t appear on the day and didn’t answer the call. We sat in front of the scene for half hours and tried calling her several times. We have to give up in the end. But she even didn’t think about apologise and didn’t pay any good attitude… She even didn’t call me back to say apologies.
For the following week, she didn’t let us know she planned to add another student for our 1:1 lesson until I chased for lesson details on the morning of the lesson day. She said we didn’t pay for long term. But we have paid 1:1 for the day already. She said she can refund the difference. But we asked 1:1 from the beginning. Then she said 1:2 is also good and because we didn’t pay for long term. I told her she needs to let parents know in advance!
She was playing tricks and more importantly, she didn’t pay any apologies to us for her missed lesson.

How awful that you are trolling me on every social media platform when we've never had a lesson.
I understand you're disappointed but I gave you an immediate refund & offered alternative times. Sometimes things change. With most people things can be worked out. Instead you try to vilify & defame.
I will continue to offer a very successful service as my reviews demonstrate . All my reviews are from parents that have had a course of lessons from me. sometimes up to two years. You are the 1st to review me having had no lessons.
My child took English tuition from Sheena for GCSE and achieved grades 7 & 8 in English language and literature. Sheena’s teaching style helped my child achieve these grades. Her targeted efforts helped my child secure higher grades than the PPEs.

Sheena is truely a wonderful teacher. She has everything one can wish for. She spent time to understand my son and identify his weakness and problems. She then gave my son tailored tuition lessons with a focus on my son's particular needs. She was always very friendly and patient. My son enjoyed her lessons very much. When I asked my son what he likes Sheena's tuition most, he said he really learned a lot and got answers to many questions that had bothered him for a long time. Importantly, my son became much more confident in English writing and he developed a good routine, i.e. to make a plan and think about his main point before he started writing.
We are 100% happy and we feel deeply grateful for her help and kindness.

In my view Sheena being an outstanding English teacher, she connects to kids very well. The best quality in Sheena is that she finds the gap quite easily in kids’ knowledge. My daughter enjoyed the lessons with Sheena so much that even missing part of lesson would put her off. Although I asked Sheena to help my daughter for 11+ but the way Sheena mentors are everlasting. And timely interaction with parents for feedback is another salient point of her tutoring.

Sheena is an outstanding teacher and I have no hesitation in saying that my daughter' s excellent result at Sutton Grammar school examination for admission in 2023 batch, would not have been possible without her help. When she started coaching my daughter, English was her weak area and we had lot of concern how she would do at the exam. However Sheena's excellent pedagody, professional , patient and effective approach , helped my daughter overcome her weakness and her result is a testimony of how good Sheena is, as a teacher.

Sheena has helped my daughter's English in secondry school for a few years. She was extremely helpful and managed to get her grades from a 3 to a 7 in both literature and language. She also gives the parent feedback after every lesson. I stongly recommend her.

I can not recommend Sheena enough how she supported my twin boys for their 11plus exams. They achieved great results in 11plus and SATs with help of Sheena. My boys enjoyed her lessons and excelled in comprehension. Sheena always gave feedback. She was not only a tutor and also a mentor and advisor during and after 11plus journey.

Our experience with her was amazing. She is experienced and showed great interest in our daughter's learning and supported us as a 1st time 11-plus parents. Our daughter now has an offer in Wallington High school for girls and we will highly recommend her service from what we have experienced with our daughter's learning journey.

Sheena is a very dedicated teacher. She has some very good teaching techniques especially with comprehension. She is very patient and adapts her teaching according to the needs of the child. We had a very challenging uncertain situation in regards to the preparation for 11 plus exams this year. Sheena was very professional and was able to teach my son in a very effective way. My son has learnt a lot of niche techniques which have never been taught in the National Curriculum. Sheena always discussed the key points about my child's attainment and areas of improvement.
Doing the classes online my son's English Language Skills and Comprehension Techniques had improved a lot.
Once again a Big Thanks to Sheena for her outstanding level of teaching and helping us in the journey of learning which helped my son to achieve the spots in all top Grammar schools he sat for.
Overall I would rate 10/10 - for Outstanding Service in Quality Learning!!

It was a wonderful 11+ journey with Sheena. My son enjoyed beign in Sheena's class and always looked forward to English lessons.
Sheena always had the children engaged from start to finish. Her classes where the right size so every child had the opportunity to participate.
With a perfect score in the kent exam, we are off to Dartford grammar for boys in September

I had an amazing experience with Sheena preparing my boy for the 11+ exam. It was a comprehensive package of top-notch English teaching combined with disciplined exam planning over two years. I loved the journey and we received the right tools and support to complement Sheena’s effort at home. At some stage, her daughter, Chanté, a Math NQT also stepped in to ensure my son is solid in math and that worked very well too.
The end result of my son choosing between more than one grammar school offer was a culmination for an orchestrated effort by a very experienced teacher and we owe her a lot of gratitude.

Sheena has been an amazing tutor. We came to her quite late in the day having gone through 2 sets of tutors over the preceding year. We started weekly one to one sessions with her in late November 2020. My son was due to sit the Trinity 10+ exam in early January and he quite simply was not up to standard as he still found comprehension tricky , particularly inferences and also his essays lacked structure. From the outset, Sheena was able to engage and encourage him so that he actually quite enjoyed his sessions with her. In his own words she was “a very good teacher, kind and quite strict.” We feel she was instrumental in helping him not only gain and feel confident in his english skills, but also in boosting his technique such that he has has been offered a place at Trinity School with an academic scholarship! The headmaster actually commented that his english achievement surpassed his maths! Our only regret is that we did not start with Sheena sooner. We cannot recommend her highly enough.

Sheena is a very knowledgeable and excellent tutor. She helped my son with English Language and Literature for his GCSEs and we saw such amazing results! She really helped refine and boost his knowledge and writing technique. Overall, she is a brilliant tutor and we would recommend her to anyone!

I would say that Sheena has helped my son greatly with his preparation for his GCSE English literature and language exams. He found the advice and techniques she provided to be of great use; these aided him a lot during his exams. Sheena's lessons have a very nice structure which allows for coverage of a lot of useful knowledge in just a single lesson. We wish her the best for the future

Sheena is an excelllent and a very professional tutor who brings out the best in the kids . She teaches kids all the required skill for english comprehension, writing and help kids build up their vocabulary
My daughter went to sheena for 11plus tuitions and i am very pleased to say that i made the right decision by selecting her as my daughters tutors . I could see a big improvement in my daughter over english skills . She gives detaiked feedback tonthe patrnts and the child and support kids in the right way . Near the time of 11plus exam she pushed the kids and took extra classes enabling kids to be fully prepared for 11plus exam

Natasha is a wonderful tutor. My daughter went to her for her 11+ preparation, and found that Natasha's teaching techniques were exceptionally good. She gives the student a variety of comprehensions, writing pieces. Natasha gives detailed feedback to the student and their parents after each session. Thanks to her, my daughter has passed both stages in the Sutton exam, and has also done extremely well in the private school exams. I strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a English tutor.

Natasha is very professional and competent about her work and certainly brings the best out of a child. She is very enthusiastic and passionate about English and writing and she passes over this attitude to her students. We found Sheena to be a brilliant tutor for our son. She guided him in English for his 11 plus entrance exams. She was very focused and helped my son gain confidence. Like most boys, my son used to avoid spending time on English, although he did his Maths with enthusiasm. Sheena made English fun and made him approach his comprehensions and cloze exercises with a new verve and direction.
I would definitely recommend Sheena to any parent who is looking for the right help for English in 11 plus. I wish her the best and thank her for being a great support on the arduous 11 plus journey!

Sheena, was a great tutor for me and was extremely helpful in every way. I was taking my GCSE’s in English and it was amazing to be taught by her, she who knew the content inside out and also knew how to teach me the structure that I needed. Sheena took my sons ability from good to excellent. Very structured in her approach to helping someone reach their target and extremely organised with an array of appropriate materials. Sheena adopts a friendly but strict approach and provided detailed feedback after each session. My son took his secondary entrance exams after 8 months with Sheena and we are very pleased with the outcome. I have no doubt we will be using Sheena again for our older child as Sheena covers the whole English curriculum from KS2 through to A-levels and beyond possibly.

It was great learning English from Sheena in my preparation for 11+ exams, passed both stages of SET in Sutton, will recommend anyone preparing for 11+ exams to have lessons. She is very knowledgeable, kind, teaching style is very helpful and excellent tips to improve performance in grammar entrance tests.

My daughter has always struggled academically at school. Several months before her GCSE’s she agreed to visit Sheena for tutoring, especially knowing the fact that her recent school assessment grades were a 2. My daughter attended weekly sessions with Sheena for no more than 4 months and all I can say is her GCSE results in English were 1 off a 5 in English lit and a 4 in English language. This was such a turn around in a short space of time which shows how much input/effect Sheena had on her learning and writing skills. Can’t thank Sheena enough .

Sheena tutored my son for the 11+ grammar school entry and then independent schools. Sheena's honesty was a characteristic that I appreciated greatly, especially at the early stages of our relationship. Sheena was able to give me and my son a clear sense of where he was academically, his potential and what was required for him to get there. Sheena is a very passionate teacher and she has a clear structure for all lessons, continuously building previous learning, so that my son developed incrementally. At times when my son found the learning experience challenging, Sheena was able to manage both our anxieties and this was very helpful for him to give him the motivation to continue.
Sheena always gave very clear instructions for the learning required in between her lessons. It is important for parents and the child to play their part, in order to get the most out of the tutoring experience. It would be naïve to believe that Sheena can support your child without your help. My son benefitted from Sheena pushing him appropriately and being firm. We worked well together and again this helped my son to appreciate the importance of taking his education seriously and becoming more responsible and independent. He was aware that we both believed he was capable and this helped at times if his confidence ebbed.
For the exams my son did not face any questions or concepts that he did not know. Everything that Sheena had taught him, he was able to apply in the exams. He took the learning on and applied it well. We are pleased that he has a very good offer from an independent school and I know he would not have achieved what he did without Sheena's intervention. I would recommend her highly but please be mindful that as a parent you must play your part!
When I asked my son he said the following:
"Sheena wants you to so your best and give 100% and she is very passionate. Sheena is kind and welcoming. I learnt that if you work hard, you can always achieve".

It's been a wonderful experience for Pranay with Sheena. She has been such a positive influence on my son that he started feeling bad if he missed her expectation of every assessment during the course of his tutoring and started working towards improvement. Her individual attention and clearly articulating the improvement areas after each session were very helpful to focus as parents.
She came across more as a friend than a tutor and I couldn't ask for more when her son also joined the sessions. My son was looking forward to every session and that not only improved his vocabulary but also coherent creative writing.
The special summer session helped for the last push before the tests and improved his competitiveness.
We wish we enrolled him earlier but no qualms as we got the best result helping my son clear multiple county tests.
I highly recommend her for all future students.

From my first call to Sheena i felt very confident that she is the right choice for Vili. It is hard to be good tutor but even harder when your child is not doing very well. Sheena was very honest with the progress he made and was pushing Vili up to his limits all the time. She is a fantastic tutor. Vili improved a lot at school and now even in his secondary school he is benefiting from all he learned from Sheena.
Sheena is well organised and very reliable.

Sheena has tutored my daughter for last couple of years. She is very well organised and an excellent teacher. Sheena has always reassured us and guided my daughter in the correct direction on how to improve her comprehension, vocabulary, grammar and writing. Sheena is always approachable and gives detailed feedback after each session. Her nurturing and caring skills are highly commendable. She is a great guide for student, as well as parent.
My daughter has improved significantly, especially she started enjoying the subject more and always looked forward to her session. Sheena has boosted her confidence and helped her secure a place in the independent school of our choice.

I was really worried about my daughter who was in year 5 and really behind, a random event led to me finding Sheena and what a wonderful and excellent teacher, she guided us, reassured us, boosted zaynas confidence, and taught her brilliantly! She is amazing at her subject and taught her even the tiniest nuanced English techniques, and ultimately got her into the private school we wanted. Sheena is a patient, intervening and vastly knowledge person. I can’t thank her enough for all the help that she gave my daughter, with her help she was able to take her work to a next level. She is very professional, she plans the sessions meticulously and is very focused on how she wants to approach each lesson. We found that this made a huge difference. My daughter finds her approachable and has really opened up to her. She even looked forward to theirsessions! I will definitely recommend her as a tutor.!

We have been with Natasha for over a year now. Our first experience, was for the 11+ entrance exams. We were very happy with Natasha's approach to teaching. It is methodical, organised and in keeping with the child's age and understanding in mind. My child loved every session with Natasha and ofcourse the exam results were fantastic! Thank you Natasha for not just building her vocabulary but bringing out the best in her abilities!

My son was tutored by Sheena for about 3 months in Year 4. He enjoyed his sessions with her and looked forward to attending lessons. Unfortunately due to personal commitments we were unable to pursue lessons for longer. I would definitely recommend Sheena. She was calm, patient and reassuring to both the child and parent.

Sheena is a remarkable teacher my only regret is that I did not find her sooner! Around Nov last year it became clear that my daughter needed additional support in English if she was even to achieve a pass. With the changes to the GCSE grading structure her confidence had taken a knock following a succession of low grades in prep for the changes. She was struggling to get her head around English and had really started to dislike the subject. Her predicted grade at the time was a level 2, the equivalent of an E under the old structure and would mean a retake as the grade was below a level 4 (grade C).
We found Sheena following a search of local tutors. I was Immediately impressed by the way Sheena sort to understand exactly what my daughter’s needs were and what the specific barriers and challenges were to her learning. She clearly understood the changes to the GCSe grading framework and what the focus needed to be in order to increase her chances of securing a pass. My daughter instantly took to her too! My understanding is that Sheena deals with a range of young people and in doing so has a great ability to connect with each child at their level. My daughter was 15 turning 16 at the time so a totally different approach to engage her was needed compared to a younger child.
What was great about Sheena is that she does not just teach she nurtures, building the confidence and self-belief needed. I actually felt she was working in partnership with me. At the end of each session she provided clear updates and strategies for improvement sharing them not just with me but with my daughter. She is patient understanding and I believe genuinely cares and is invested in each of the young people she supports. After meeting with her I decided to get additional tuition for my son to help secure the pass he needed in English as he was in his final year of A levels. Sheena again was brilliant totally flexible about how often he went to her, she was happy to be guided by him and not insistent he attended every week but more so when he felt he actually need the extra help. She was totally tuned in to the pressures of A ‘level study and had the insight and flexibility to make the learning centred around the young person.
7 months later we could not have been more elated, my daughter achieved a Grade 6 in English a high B
(a long way for the predicted Grade 2) which we totally attribute to the interventions and support by Sheena. I can’t help but wonder what she could have achieved if she had been working with Sheena sooner. If you’re looking for just a tutor there are ten a penny however if you at seeking a learning partner in your child's development, someone who will champion, encourage, believe in their capabilities and support them to get results beyond expectations then I cannot recommend Sheena enough. Sheena thank you so much, you were a great find and we are truly grateful for the commitment and belief you showed in both of our children but especially our daughter.

I approached Sheena at the beginning of January 2017. Sheena was very helpful as I was completely clueless of the 11+, she gave me advice, pointed me to the right direction with a reading list, books and taught my son English which has improved over the last 6 months.
Sheena is very passionate about her teaching and cares about her students.
I throughly recommend Sheena as a tutor.

My son only started attending tuition with Sheena a few months before his 11+ exams. He enjoyed his lessons so much and the improvement in his comprehension and creative writing was unbelievable.
There is no doubt that he would not be able to achieve the success he did in his entrance exams without Sheena's help.
I think the fact that my son wanted to and did continue his classes with Sheena even after he had completed his exams says it all. My youngest son is now also being tutored by Sheena and is enjoying his lessons just as much as his brother.
We are very fortunate to have found Sheena when we did.

From the first time we met Sheena she put us all at ease, particularly my son. Every week he looked forward to his sessions with her and the change we saw in him was fantastic. Sheena helped him realise that he could do the work she gave him and in turn this gave him the confidence in his own ability which helped motivate him to learn more. He entered the Trinity 10plus exam and with the extra confidence and focus Sheena had taught/given him he went in with a big smile on his face and came out again with an even bigger grin. We were thrilled to hear he had passed and have no doubt that Sheena played a significant part in this. He was very disappointed when his sessions ended. We would recommend Sheena without any hesitation.

Sheena is a caring and effective tutor. My son loved his sessions with her. He did sessions in English and maths and managed to score in the top 5% for his English when sitting his 10+ entrance exams.

Natasha has been tutoring our daughter in English over the last year. We have seen a vast improvement in our daughter's English skills since Natasha started to tutor her. Having used other Tutors in the past we found Natasha to be excellent in comparison to the previous tutors. Our daughter was receiving 40% in her English tests and now she is receiving 75%. The improvement over such a short space of time is solely down to the fact that Natasha is a first class tutor. For this reason we have no hesitation in recommending Natasha to other parents. The only reason we stopped using Natasha was because we moved to another area of London. Thank you Natasha for all your help.
