What a fantastic start to school life!

5 stars

My son started at King's Oak Primary in September 2019. I was nervous as he had only been with a childminder so wasn't sure how he'd handle a busy classroom environment. The settling in process was extremely well managed and not at all overwhelming for him. In Reception each child has a focus week every term. During this week they are given even more focus than normal. Then at the end of the week a parent meeting is used to discuss the focus week and to suggest targets. As a primary school teacher myself, I found this method of assessment very effective. It is a huge relief that such a big step in my son's life has gone so smoothly. I'm extremely pleased with our choice of King's Oak Primary and look forward to a long relationship with the school as all my children make their way through its gates.
