About Me
I live in Wollaton Park in a detached house. I am situated 5 minutes from Wollaton Park. I have 2 children of my own both of which have left home now. I love my job. I had my last Ofsted inspection in March 2020 and received GOOD. I am very proud of this. I have my NVQ Level 3 which I gained in November 2010. I keep all of my training up to date. I try to attend regular training. I have a friendly, warm and welcoming atmosphere. I worked in accounts until I had my first child. I then became a childminder when my 2nd child was 3 yrs old. I love working for myself and seeing the children grow in my care. I have also been quality assured. I pick up from Middleton Nursery/Primary School. I attend the local toddler groups, library for singing and parks. We love the outdoors and go out each morning to either a local toddler group, library or local park. Afternoon's we tend to be home so little ones can sleep and we also play into garden. My home is located 5 minutes from Middleton Primary School. I am a gold member so you can message me. I can deliver the Free 30/15 hours for 2/3/4 year olds and will be doing the 9month - 2 year funding also from September 2024.
I also offer holiday cover only and term time only contracts as well as full/part time contracts. I have a vacancy available from September 2024 for a 2/3 year old Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8.45am-3pm and I have holiday cover only places available.

My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for 22 years. I have had 2 children of my own and have looked after many children from 3 months old to 11 years.
My Qualifications
Paediatric first aid, Introducing Childminding practice, Safeguarding children, Food Hygiene, , challenging behaviour, top play & top sport, planning for the child, Birth to Three matters, Business success for childcare, Every child matters, Diversity resources, Policy writing, Environmental play, Treasure baskets, Health & Safety, Early years foundation stage. NVQ Level 3 and lots more. I do regular webinars to keep up to date also. I also hold a level 1 teaching in Aquatics qualification and am a level 2 swimming coach.
My Availability
I can pick up from Middleton Nursery and Middleton Primary School. Call me or catch me in the playground for more information. My opening times are 7.30am - 6pm. I can also do holiday care cover only. Please call to discuss further. At present I have a vacancy for an 2/3 year old available from September 2024 and school holiday care cover.

My daughter started at Michelle’s a year ago, and was very shy at first. She often takes some time to warm up, and Michelle was wonderfully patient with her. Since then, Amelia has thrived and formed a lovely, close bond with Michelle. Her days are full of fun activities, including lots of outdoor play which she loves. Michelle creates a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment for the children in her care and they form lovely friendships with one another. Amelia has grown so much in confidence since starting at Michelle’s, I really can’t recommend her highly enough.

Michelle was amazing with Joe, her setting is like a home from home (very clean and tidy, with a variety of indoor and outdoor toys). So I knew that Joe would have everything he needed whilst I was at work.
Everyday I would get photos showing me what he was up to whether at the park, music group, feeding the ducks, baking cakes or messy play. Those photos would make my day and I’d feel happy and settled that he was having a great time.
She was always flexible and I knew if there was an emergency, Michelle would be able to either help out or have another childminder joe was familiar with on hand.
It broke my heart when joe had to leave due to relocating to another area as I’d envisaged him there until he was much older. Michelle is a lovely, caring lady who will look after your children very well whilst in her care. I highly recommend her!

Michelle has been a great childminder for my little girl. She was very welcoming and made Leilani feel part of her family straight away. Which was very comforting being a first time mum and going back to work earlier than I anticipated. Being kept up to date daily with photos especially when they go exploring on the park and messages put my mind at ease. I have loved all the art work that has come especially the Christmas tree decorations.
Also with Michelle giving me advice on any questions that I had and being flexible was great. Which shows she makes time for parents too which I think is fantastic.
Leilani has made a great group of friends that we will be keeping in touch with. I am grateful for the picture books that are given at the end of term she can look back over them to remember her time.
Leilani has grown as a person into a confident, happy, very verbal and active child and I truly believe that is down to Michelle’s setting.

Michelle has been a fantastic childminder for our little girl. Looking for childcare was a nightmare for the particular needs we have but Michelle sent me a message and I knew there was light at the end of the tunnel. She was very welcoming and Mia clicked straight away which was a huge help being a 1st time Mum and having to return back to work. She always makes the day fun and keeps us updated with pictures so we know what Mia is up to. Shes made a fantastic group of little friends whilst being with Michelle and shes really grown as a person. We love the fact no day is the same and around each event of the year we get a lovely little masterpiece to treasure. Throughout covid we were always kept update and we have never had a worry when Mia was there and felt she was safe in Michelles care. Also being right next to Wollaton Park and seeing pictures of Mia exploring has always been our favourite. Cannot recommend Michelle enough, shes so lovely, loving and caring and always makes time for the parents too. Thank you so much Michelle, thank you for helping Mia grow xx

When our usual before school childcare was suddenly unavailable for our daughter due to coronavirus we really panicked. My husband and I both work for the NHS so not going to work was not an option. Michelle has been our saviour! At very short notice she agreed to look after our daughter each morning and we have been so impressed. Our daughter quickly became very fond of Michelle and I felt really happy leaving her in Michelle’s capable hands. Michelle is clearly an excellent childminder leading to smiling children in a safe environment. We couldn’t be more satisfied with her service and would definitely recommend her. Thank you!
