Hello my name is Sarah
I have a 2:1 in BA Hons in early childhood studies from Plymouth University.
I have over 5 years full time nannying experience and over 10 years babysitting experience.
I have experience with new born right through to teenagers as well as current working experience with special needs.
Im a keen and experienced horse rider, I have 4 horses and a lovely dog.
I have grown up in the countryside and love everything outdoors.
I genuinely enjoy working with children as I find it very rewarding, every day is different and they also seem to share my boundless energy!
I love being part of the family unit, and find that a really important aspect of being a nanny.

My Experience
I have many years of babysitting experience, including many over night stays and sole charge weekends. I have babysat for children with ages ranging from newborn to 14 years with various backgrounds.
I have spent time teaching children to horse ride which I enjoy greatly.
I also have experience in working with Disabled children and children from troubled backgrounds.
I have worked in nurseries and schools on placements from uni.
I have been nannying (long days) for 5 years, and babysitting (evenings , short hours) for over 10 years
I have previously organised and run a few children's parties.
I've worked in schools, nurseries, weddings and home settings.
My Qualifications
I have 11 GCSE's including maths, English and Science, child development and Dance. A GNVQ in ICT.
4 AS Levels in Psychology, Business, Leisure and Rec and Sociology.
3 A levels in Psycholgy, Business and Leisure.
I have a BA hons in early childhood studies.

I am available full time for the right role.
I also offer freelance riding lessons to childrens and adults.
I am also free for the odd few hours here and there in the day time or in evenings for babysitting, so do get in touch if you feel I could help you on an adhoc basis

We employed Sarah for 2 years, starting on a few hours and ending on some 20hrs per week. She is just fantastic! She started looking after Anna at 2.5yrs around her pre-school hours, then went on to help with Charlie (before and after birth!) in our home in Kingston St Mary. When I went back to work in May 2013 she had full responsibility for Charlie 3 days a week, based from our home, but took him out to classes and out and about locally - plus helped out with meals and baking :-)
Sarah is really friendly and easy to get on with, brilliant with children - and they really love her. I felt my children were safe and always had lots of fun, often returning home lively and tired. When she arrived in the mornings they would smile and run to the door!
Sarah is very kind, always smiling and honest. She would rarely say no to any request for additional hours - day or night.
Any family that has a chance for their children to have some of Sarah's time is very fortunate - she will enhance the children's development.
Overall
Sarah has been fantastic this weekend! She looked after 6 month old Rosa alongside Rosa's mother and did a brilliant job! I would thoroughly recommend Sarah as someone who was able to fit into a large wedding from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon and allowed Rosa's mum to have a really good time. The great thing was that Rosa was able to take part in lots of the things but Sarah was able to whisk her away for meals & sleeps so she stayed happy! Well done Sarah, thank you so much!

Overall
Sarah has worked as a Nanny for me and my toddler son Oscar since 2010. She started work for me when I was recovering from an operation and was unable to do anything. Sarah was sensitive to my tricky situation and a pleasure to have around, is always cheerful and has quickly become a part of our family. Oscar instantly took to Sarah and they have become great playmates! Sarah is fun, responsible, reliable and trustworthy. We now live on a farm and she is also fantastic with helping with the animals, from dogs to horses, a donkey and even feeding the calves when needed. Sarah has boundless energy which is a necessity with small children and is always ready to play endless tractor games or kick a ball, go to the park, go on long walks, baby gym, indoor play centres etc. Sarah has adapted really well as my son has changed from a just walking toddler to a fast, chatty and sometimes demanding little boy and they genuinely seem to enjoy each others company. I would highly recommend Sarah to anybody wanting a nanny for their children. We will really miss you Sare-Sare!
