About Me
Our names are Sam and James, we have 3 children named Bailey, Bella and Bobby. We live in our family home on the Meridian Gate site in Royston.
In our setting, we offer free play, adult led activities, craft, outdoor play and we have recently introduced forest school into our working week (unless the weather is awful)
The children can choose between dinosaurs, diggers, puzzles, building blocks, magnetic shapes, paw patrol toys, dolls and drawing/mark making, plus more. And outside in our dedicated play area, the children can build an obstacle course, play in the playhouse, use ride ons, and use the slide.
Each month, we have a different theme, for example, people who help us and the wintery world. We also base our learning around the seasons and different celebrations.
We attend different play groups and softplay sessions throughout the week and also visit local parks.

I have been a childminder for 8 years and James has been working with me for 2 years.
My Qualifications
We are both qualified childminders.
We are both paediatric 1st aid trained.
I have leadership and management A level.
My Availability
We are available Monday to Thursday 8.00 until 17.30.
Available 47 weeks a year.
We provide healthy snacks, lunch and a cooked dinner.

I can not recommend Sam and James enough. Freddie struggles with change at first but Sam and James have been amazing. Freddie has settled in so well. He loves the activities he does with them and the other children. He is always very chatty and happy when i pick him up and tells me all about his day.
As a parent, from day one, I have felt completely at ease knowing Freddie is being looked after so well.

We have used Sam for both of our girls over the years and have trusted her completely with them. They both always had a great time and did lots of fun activities. After each session Sam would send information about their day with pictures attached, it was lovely seeing my girls smiling and happy when with Sam and having fun. Thank you Sam for all your years of help 😍

We can not recommend Sam and James highly enough. They have looked after our daughter for the last 6months since she was 5 and half months old. They are caring and encouraging. It has been one of the best things we could have done for our little girl. She is always so pleased and happy to go. I don’t have to think or worry about her, whilst she is in their care.

Sam is fantastic and I would recommend her in heartbeat. She is welcoming and approachable. Our son has been extremely happy in her care.

Sam is a really great childminder - always full of energy and smiles, and I feel lucky to have found her!
I'm really impressed with the range of craft activities she gets the kids involved with, and when my youngest is last to be picked up I often find her entertaining him with a game of draughts! She has a wonderful big dining table which is great for the kids to sit at and draw/make things whenever the creative urge takes them.
Importantly, Sam is extremely approachable if any issues arise, and is open to working with me to resolve any problems.
Both my boys are really comfortable at Sammie's, and I hope she continues as a childminder for many years to come!
