Terrible experience

I never normally write complaints but I think it’s important to hire the correct person when they look after your children, so I regretfully write a negative review.

I hired this nanny for 9 months and deeply regretted my decision. She was difficult from the start and very soon into her commitment took a long holiday without asking. She booked it with no regard for me or the baby and just told me it would be happening when he was only a few months old. This was the start of a long line of disrespect.

She was endlessly off sick, rude, wouldn’t take feedback as she was so defensive, unprofessional, late almost daily. When I regularly took my son out for 3 hours, I’d come home and almost nothing was done. My cleaner told me she would just sit in the living room. Now, of course, everyone needs and deserves breaks but this was extreme. Money also went missing from my bedroom which was the exact amount I said I wouldn't be able to pay her because it exceeded her sick pay allowance. I don’t have proof she took it but it’s very suspicious.

In the end, because I said I couldn’t pay her for yet another week off because her husbands grandma had died (I did offer het the day for the funeral and another day) she resigned by sending aggressive and insulting texts. She didn’t say goodbye to me or my son whom she’d know since he was one month old.

I am very hurt by everything that happened and hope by writing this I save another parent for a similar experience.

This is such a disgusting review to make. And everything you have stated here is an utter lie. You are just hurt by the fact that i didnt want to work for you anymore due to you not allowing me to have a funeral day off and your lack of communication when i had told you i will need days off. Your lack of compassion and the fact you ignored me 3 whole days wasnt acceptable to me. And i came in the very day and tried to speak yo you. And you complete walked past me. I felt very uncomfortable and upset by your behaviour. And it was my grandmas funeral. Regardless im gona be very upset by this. And the holiday i took i gave you alot of notice (3 months notice). It’s disgusting for you to even assume i took money from you. Im a very religious person and God is my witness. I would never ever steal from anyone. Even when the money went missing; i was quick to say from now on please either transfer me or give the money yourself because i knew you would come to such conclusions. Everytime you went out with your baby i made sure your whole house is clean and made you food. Once that was done i gave myself a 30 minute break always. So im not sure why these lies are being made. and tbh for the whole duration of 9 month you had a problem when i took my break to the point that the first 5 months i couldnt even allow myself to have lunch. I cant believe how petty and disgusting you could be. Ive never had bad reviews from families. You are the only one. The fact you have tendencies to lose things alot and lose your temper all the time. And now it’s fallen onto me. Taking your role on was my biggest mistake, especially when you didnt want to provide any contract. Also not once did i expect you to pay me for funeral day off or anything else for that matter. That was not the reason why i left.
