My Summary
About Me
Hi I’m Emma, I feel I am a trustworthy, enthusiastic and responsible 34 year old, living in Birmingham. I love being creative and making ordinary daily tasks into mini adventures.
Being punctual and organised is very important to me and I try to go the extra mile for parents, washing up, ironing and tidying, to make life a bit easier.
I love being outdoors and active, enjoying the fresh air. I am passionate about cooking and baking and love getting children involved and excited about it too. I really enjoy craft activities and love to make things with children, giving them an opportunity to explore their creative side and building their self esteem by producing something of which they can be proud. I really enjoy reading stories and making up games.
My Experience
i have many years experience of working with children.
however I have currently been doing nanny work since January 2016 . I have my own car and full clean driving licence.
I have experience with children from the ages of 0-12 years.
I have worked in a Private day nursery in Birmingham for just over 5 years, throughout my time there I have worked with ages ranging from 6 weeks- 5 years of age. I was currently based in the baby room, but have worked with children from toddlers to pre-school
my duty as a nanny now includes fulfilling the daily routines of all the children in my care, daily activities, preparing feeds and overall general care of the children. I also do weekly planning and activities which covers all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage, i do monthly observations on the children to record their growth and development.
i make a journal for each child from which the parents can see how their child/ren are developing in my care.
Im more than happy to do children's laundry & ironing, keep play area & feeding areas nice and tidy.
my career plan now to is to gain as much one to one experience as possible which will enhance my portfolio for the future.
I am most proud of my achievements through learning at the highest level I can, and I take my work with children very seriously. I am proud that I can offer a safe environment and balance having fun with good routines and activities which encourage development. I particularly enjoy messy activities like shaving foam play, bake beans play and painting,

Emma has been with us just over 8 months, looking after our 2-year-old daughter. Our daughter is immunocompromised so we have to be careful about mixing with other children. Emma has been very understanding of this and is always very careful to ensure that our daughter is safe and looked after.
One of Emma’s greatest strengths is her ability to connect with children on their level. She is patient, compassionate, and empathetic, and she has a knack for understanding their emotions and needs. She is an expert at engaging children in activities that are both fun and educational, and she always encourages them to explore their creativity and imagination. She has taken our daughter on some lovely educational excursions and does fun activities at home such as arts, crafts, baking and imaginary play.
Emma has a wealth of experience in childcare, and she is knowledgeable about child development, health, and safety. She has always followed the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation, and she is meticulous when it comes to following routines and schedules. She is also a great communicator, and she keeps us informed about our daughter’s progress.
Emma has an excellent work ethic, and she takes her responsibilities very seriously. She is a team player and always goes above and beyond to help out with any tasks that need to be done. She is adaptable and flexible, and she can handle any situation that comes her way with grace and professionalism.
In summary, I cannot recommend Emma highly enough as a nanny. She is a dedicated, caring, and skilled professional who has made a positive impact on the life of our daughter. She has always gone above and beyond what was expected of her, and we are confident that she will do the same for any family that she works with.
Emma is an excellent nanny. Our little boy absolutely adores her, he asks to see her and play with her even on the days we don't have her!
Emma is punctual and reliable - she's never let us down. She has a lovely way with children, gets down to their level, knows how to engage with them. Our son took to her instantly! She's quiet and calm, even when he's acting up (as two-year-olds do sometimes!), and through calm persistence gets him to do what she needs him to, for example get dressed or get his coat on to leave the house.
She takes our son to all sorts of lovely activities - it's been difficult, with it being lockdown, but she still gets him out of the house every day, to the park, the Lickeys etc. so he gets a good run around and burns off lots of energy. In between lockowns, she took him to soft play, playgroups, children's farms. When in the home setting, Emma does baking, painting, messy play and all sorts of fun activities that we don't necessarily do much ourselves, so our son gets a wide range of experiences throughout the day.
Emma is clean and tidy - she always tidies up after herself and our son. She's always well presented, dressed smartly but in suitable clothing for playing. She's polite, kind and very thoughtful - she really can't do enough to help us and we're so grateful for all she's done for us.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Emma to anyone looking for a nanny.
Emma came back to work with us for a year when we came back from overseas. She was just as perfect as before, and we have loved having her back in our lives. She is completely reliable, responsible and mature, and the children adore her. She's a great cook and keeps the house tidy and clean, and although some excellent craft projects are undertaken she always makes sure that every trace of it is tidied up afterwards.
Emma is working for us at the moment looking after our twins who are 3.5 and our 18 month old toddler. She is a fantastic nanny, and the only reason she is leaving us is because we are moving - otherwise we would have tried to keep her until the kids left home! I feel like she has become part of our family and the kids adore her.
She is kind and gentle, but sets boundaries and sticks to them. She has a lot of childcare experience and it shows in how she manages to ensure their behaviour is good with positive cues and reinforcement. She thinks of fun things to do with the kids and is happy to take them to all sorts of activities. She is great at doing arts and crafts, baking, puzzles....and she is an amazing cook! She is also very tidy and organised.
Emma is extremely reliable and always punctual. She has also been very flexible with unexpected delays and problems.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Emma - she is ta perfect nanny!
Emma looked after our twin girls for 4 months earlier this year until they started nursery. She was absolutely amazing!
Very reliable, very punctual, never sick or absent, I couldn't have asked for a better nanny. One of our girls has additional needs and Emma quickly picked up the skills and knowledge needed to look after her. Nothing was ever too much trouble, she engaged the girls in a wide variety of activities every day and they loved spending time with her.
I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending Emma as a sole care nanny!
