My Summary
About Me
I am a Partner Provider with North Lanarkshire Council to provide 1140 hours Free Funded Childcare to any eligible 2 year old children and all 3 & 4 year old children, parents can choose to use all their 1140 funded hours within my service this allows you to use hours early till late and over different days as long as it isn’t more than 30 hours per week or chose to split your funding with their chosen local nursery.
My name is Angela I live in Morningside Road, Wishaw with my Husband, I have 2 grown up children that no longer live with us. I have been a childminder for over 16 years.
I believe my service offers the best of both worlds providing your child with a quality, flexible, reliable childcare service, where I will support your child emotionally, physically, socially and provide activities and tasks to encourage their personal development.
I having a small adult to child ratio within my service this benefits your child as they receive more personal attention and allows us to plan our days activities around your child's interests and needs where I can encourage confidence in all life skills while providing a unique service from a warm, welcoming, safe and secure homely environment.
My service also offers drop off and pick up to my local schools and nurseries, this service has allowed the children in my care to stay for many years as both parents and children form a relationship and also sibling join the service so the care provided covers all age groups and as the years pass children become before & after school or school holiday cover whatever care needed if the space is available.
To have healthy eating options and provide a balanced meal or snack, taking into account parents wishes. To care for the individual needs of each child and work in partnership with the parents.
Outings are free of charge, we visit a wide range of places where the children learn and make new friends, we attend toddler groups, soft play, book bug, swing parks, swimming (depending on ratio) when the schools are on holiday we are able to go out all day so we get to go to places like the zoo, Almond Valley, Dynamic Earth, Museums and lots of other family parks as well as other outdoor activities.
I have been a mother for over 32 years and worked in the care sector for most of my life and hold my SCQF level 7 in children and young people this gives me a good understanding of children to help and support them across a wide age range.
Finding childcare is a difficult task
Choosing someone to look after your child when you return to work or training is the most important decision you can make, so ask questions
What qualifications do they have?
What did the last inspection report say?
What is the daily routine?
How will you be kept informed?
Childminders can operate differently, depending on the children they are looking after. Like a nursery setting, a childminder is expected to offer different tasks and activities during the day to create a stimulating learning environment. I have my SCQF Level 7, My last inspection report is available and gained all 5's, we are out most days at groups but also flexible to allow your child to also decide what we do and where we go, all information will be shared with parents any way the select from personal would be kinderlime or text and all photos shared in our closed page, children will get their 6 month development plan printed and shared with parents and their child's next steps discussed.
I hope you find the information here useful; it has come from years of experience in dealing with parents concerns and anxieties for their child.
I am regulated by the Care Inspectorate and my registration certificate is available to view for all parents along with my latest inspection report.
I am a member of and Insured with SCMA.
My Experience
I have been in the care sector most off my working life, I've worked with a wide range of ages and abilities. My first job was working as a nursery in Carluke. I then moved to Stanmore House, this School provides specialist education for children and young people with very complex needs .
Then went to care for the elderly at Monteith House nursing home in Carstairs. This 2 year course ended my training for all care sectors. I then decided to care for the elderly with special education needs and disability's this gave me great satisfaction and I loved my job.
Married life changed my priorities, I took a day time job to be around more and worked in factory in Netherton. I left there after working many years and return to the care sector working in the community as this is what I do best "care for people" as my kids got older I missed the sound of them running around my home, I then had a rethink about the rest of my working life and decided to use the skills I have, I wanted to stay in the caring profession so became a childminder in January 2008 and can say this is the most rewarding job that gives me job satisfaction and love every minute, every day can be totally different and how many people can say they can have a different adventure every day and to see a child grow and develop over the years is amazing, I had a child for over 11 years and see them all grow, learn new skills see them laugh and be there when they cry is the most rewarding job i have ever had over all these years and I wouldn't change a single thing.
Hope I haven't bored you, If your looking for a friendly and caring childminder please feel free to contact me : )

My kids, ages 10 months and 3 years old have been going to angies for a few months now and adore going to visit her as they know they are going to have fun!
Angie loves her job and it shows in her interaction with the children, i LOVE how i can keep up to date on their day and see how much the kids are enjoying themselves through regular photos on facebook throughout the day! X
I would highly recommend Angie for childcare as she is so down to earth and a very approachable and caring person with a great professional manner. My daughter Macy was with Angie for 4 years from 1 year old where she received a whole range of activities and was kept busy and encouraged by Angie and her family in a very positive way. Macy also enjoyed her time with the other children that Angie looked after as well as her own kids who are fantastic. I could go to work knowing that Macy was in a loving, warm family environment. Macy learned so much in her 4 years including pre school development and celebrations around special dates (Easter, Christmas, Chinese New Year etc)
As we dont stay in the area and I travelled to Edinburgh we had to make the decision to send Macy to her local school whcih unfortunately wasnt in Angie's pick up area. We still visit regularly and keep in touch. I would highly recommend Angie to anyone looking for childcare.

Thanks debbie for the nice comments it's much appreciated
I think Macy just fitted right into our family from the start she was my first ful time child and I couldn't have picked a better child for that spot, Macy was my right hand and became the leader of the Angels, I could be doing something with another child and say were going to paint by the time I had finishined what I was doing Macy had the aprons on and heping to get started, I can still here her in my head "Angie says" she is a big miss to this house the kids miss her and all the family miss her, Les would steal her from you anytime just lift the phone and he'll be there. lol
I'd just like you to know all your family are very warm, special people and have become friends that are also missed by Myself and Les.
Thanks for being part of our life and will always be a friend Angela Xx
I would highly recommend Angie for childcare as soon as I met Angie I could sense how natural she is at caring and instantly my daughter Iona had a soft spot for Angie.I had no doubts that Iona would ever be bored at Angies, everyday the kids are kept busy by interacting with other children and learning and generally have fun!I was encouraged to see Iona had an excellent time with the other children and was wonderful not to feel guilty leaving Iona as I knew she was in good hands.Overall a lovely homely atmosphere for children to be in,I am very sad to say that as Iona has started nursery she is no longer at Angies,in saying that we cant pass the house without Iona asking for Angie or her husband Les in which it has to be said is also excellent with the children infact Iona had quite a soft spot for him, overall an absolute godsend!getting your children to leave may be another matter!

Our son Cameron has been going to Angie's after school for just under 1 year now. We feel that Angie creates a very welcoming and homely enviroment. She is a very warm and caring person as are the rest of her family.
She is also extremley flexable in accomodating your everyday needs, she really is just a phone call away.
We cannot speak highly enough of Angie and her family and would recommend her to anyone looking for a childminder.
Thanks Angie and family for welcoming Cameron into your home xx

When I was looking for a childminder for my son, I had to consider many options due to the nature of my job, and I found that Angie's Little Angels suited well.
Angie has looked after Aiden since he was around 10 months old and she has been a fantastic childminder. He always looks forward to going down, and doing fun stuff with Angie and the rest of the kids in her care.
Myself and other family members have always been made to feel very welcome by Angie and the rest of her family any time we have been at her home.
I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a childminder, she offers an excellent childminding service.
